A 5 energy keldeo sweeps empoleon, so leafeon's the counter. Plus the fact that he's a 1 energy attacker makes him a good secondary attacker for the deck, without secondaries empoleon runs out of attackers.

^Not true. Getting 1 turn in to deluge a ton of energy is a big advantage. If you can power up two keldeos in the turn you get of deluging from tool scrapper you'll be in good shape. Another thing you can do is power up a keldeo quickly, catcher garbodor kill it and be in the advantage...

Lists without beach can work sometimes, but in any deck that isn't attacking turn 1, (and especially one that needs a stage 2 to operate) you should have at least 2-3 tropical beach.

Minimum 2-1-1 if you want to make an impact vs. plasma. I run 3-2-1 Blast/Exalted Drifblim because it's good in the mirror and plasma, but that's just me.

If deoxys retreat was 1 I would run it in this deck, but because it's 2 it's very susceptible to catcher scrap stall repeatedly with sabelye and it can be a huge pain. It does help with plasma, but I run drifblim plus enhanced hammer so I really don't think I need more plasma support.
