reguarding the powers and abilities that have "Once during your turn (before your attack)", I know you can't attack on your first turn but are still able to use these on your first turn if the pokemon is a basic pokemon? for example if this card was a basic:

Regarding fossil ditto if the defending pokemon is a Pokemon ex does it become the Pokemon ex and if the ditto were to get knocked out would you get two prize cards if you knocked out the ditto

That makes perfect sense your not playing the actual Pokemon your playing a trainer cards which happens to let you place a stage 2 on your basic. Thank you very much for the clarification.
