TGK has always had an issue with Tharja for as long as I've known him, though to this day he's never told me a reason for it
I only like Kjelle because she expands on Sully's character quite a lot, who's one of my favourite adults. Kjelle herself is nothing special.

What I love about Kjelle:
She doesn't have an overblown anime-esque persona like most of the other kids. This does mean that she doesn't stand out as much as they do, but she feels more real.
Her implied unrequited romantic feelings for Severa.
The hilarity that all of her interactions with her mom imply that she can't fight on horseback even though she ALWAYS has Cavalier as one of her possible class sets.

She can ride on horseback, Sully is just motherly and would prefer she didn't. It's her way of keeping her daughter safe, in her own mind.
