    Expanded M-Mewtwo/Venusaur

Ninja Edit: its been a long time since I've posted a Deck Garage post, if there's anything wrong, I apologize! After hearing about the success of Shining Genesect/Venusaur at the latest Regionals, I felt inspired. M-Mewtwo Y is one of those cards I never got a chance to play around with but I...

Discussion Shining Genesect/Venusaur/Zoroark Standard Deck Profile

You and me both! I love Venusaur right now. Really neat effect + really cool Pokemon to go alongside it. I'm excited to see where the deck goes next!

Super Boost Energy might just the thing that brings heavy cost attackers back. Hell yes.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

The more I see on this set, the more excited I'm getting. Between Garchomp being decent, Empoleon being decent and that one Infernape that I want to build an Expanded deck around, I'm getting pumped.

    News Gengar From SM4 Revealed!

I'm... torn. On one hand, this thing seems like hot garbage. On the other, it's whenever your opponent plays an Energy from the hand - so say if a Blastoise type deck became meta relevant, this would be the meta call to play. It seems far too situational right now but we'll have to see what the...

Discussion The New "Safeguard" Abilities are Broken...

That sounds like a good thing to me. If you don't have diversity in a game, people start getting bored playing or playing against the same type of decks over and over, and that's how people start to leave the game.

    Discussion Partners for BUS Raticate

Ever since I saw it, I see some potential in BUS Raticate; a no energy attack that has potential to swing from 60 - 90 seems pretty decent for a one prize attacker. So I started playing around with it and... I've hit a brick wall. My first thought was pair it with the AOR Eeveelutions to make...

News Palossand-GX, Latias, Hydreigon, Regigigas, Hiker Promos!

Palosand's GX attack is really kinda interesting but the rest of the card's kind of mediocre unfortunately. Without any acceleration that's a minimum of 3 attaches if you have DCE on hand and a somewhat dicey attack that relies on your opponent's deck.

Discussion Are Megas Still Viable in Competitive?

Wasn't Mega Manectric a decent choice for awhile? Hit Yveltals for weakness, low attack cost, had decent energy acceleration.

I need to do more testing with it. Its a bit bricky and struggles against way too many matchups for its own good right now.

Discussion Trash Talk: Garbodor's Role Post-Rotation

But then if every deck uses it, Garbodor's usage should rise again due to the omnipresence of Items. If and when that were to happen, people would adjust their decklists again, Garb fades away temporarily and the cycle begins anew. Besides that, this is all based off a hypothetical situation...

Discussion Trash Talk: Garbodor's Role Post-Rotation

I didn't say that they should, just that they have can. In addition to that, it's not saying that people have to run Garb but his presence is going to influence how people build a deck. It doesn't matter how powerful a certain item card is if you never get to use the full benefit of it when you...

Discussion Trash Talk: Garbodor's Role Post-Rotation

The thing that just occurred to me regarding Garbodor is that Item cards can now be stronger as long as Garbodor (or a card similar enough) is there to check it. In a strange sense, it actually opens up a lot of design choices for the TCG because of this one card. Every time there's going to be...

I'm fine with it. Its basically just Silver Bangle but for Standard. If there are any problems with it, I don't think its to do with the card itself but the cards around it.
