New 'Break Evolution Box' in January!

Too bad a Wailord deck will never have eight Pokémon in play. And Mega Rayquaza isn't even good anymore. It's a rogue deck, if even that. A more accurate description of Empoleon would be a Raichu counter, since Raichu is actually a tournament-level threat right now. And since Raichu only has...

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

Ace Trainer gives you card advantage in comparison to your opponent's hand, and it's far from overpowered. You're making generalizations that don't apply.

    Ash-Greninja-EX Revealed in 'CoroCoro!'

Fighting Spirit Belt only works on basics. Muscle Band only affects damage on the active (and the same probably goes for spirit belt), so neither work.

It stays there. It says the highest evolution. A Stage 1 under a Stage 2 isn't the highest, the Stage 2 is, so that's what gets bounced.

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

So you want Americans in the World Championships to be at a huge disadvantage when their Japanese opponents can cripple their hand and we can't do the same back to them? Also, all you have to do to counter this card is get out an Octillery (assuming you can before they use Delinquent for the...

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

If that were true, Professor Juniper would be banned, Professor Sycamore would be banned, Tierno, Cheren, Colress, Exeggcute, Paint Roller, Roller Skates, and Bicycle would all be banned...

    Discussion Nerf Malamar EX!

I think the main lesson here is just not to jump to such rash conclusions so quickly. Search for a solution to the problem before you concede to it. :)

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

Hold up: Ho-oh EX/Slowking. They hit you if they can. Your turn, you spin all of their energy away and heal 50 from Ho-oh. They can't hit you because they don't have enough energy. You heal 50 again. They get enough energy and hit you again. You spin the energy again. Heal 50. Repeat. :D Bad...

I would hope you won't be playing it for the attack though.

Which would put all the energy in their hand, and they'd need to attach it all over again. It still puts them back a lot of turns. Even dirtier would be putting the energy on a benched Hoopa.

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

Not really. You make a combo that (best case scenario) does 110 damage, or more likely, they pass their turn to get rid of the balloon safely, and then they kill your Sigilyph and only take 50 damage.

    Yeah, that's true.

    M Manectric-EX Variants

Running Aegislash with Crobat with Mega Man is basically running three stage twos (Spirit Link is like a stage one). This seems way too clunky to work, not to mention that running multiple Burst Balloons in addition to everything else will only hurt your consistency. Personally, Mega Man and...

    Discussion Nerf Malamar EX!

As I said in my post, if you're only running special energy and no basic energy in this era of the game, where Hammers are rampant and Jirachi is on its way. Fix it. As I also said in my post, Muscle Band on the Deoxys negates Malamar's resistance. AND, Keldeo EX is literally about five dollars...

    Discussion Nerf Malamar EX!

I'm gonna be blunt here (sorry). You seem like you approached the matchup wrong. Enhanced Hammer only works on special energy, so all you had to do to get around that was focus on using Raiden Knuckle to get back whatever basic energy cards his Flare Grunts discarded. If you don't play any basic...

    Discussion Is Vespiquen (AOR) Overused?

If people do overplay it, you can always just tech in one or two of the new promo Jirachi and completely wreck their shiz. Unless they play blacksmith and Flareon AOR, in which case you'll just mostly wreck their shiz.

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

Kinda late buddy. Ariados doesn't work against grass Pokémon (and against M Sceptile, they can just heal off all the damage counters before you get a chance to attack it for the KO). It'll be way too evolution-based and clunky to work.

    Discussion Is Vespiquen (AOR) Overused?

Just because your deck wins seventy percent of the time (I don't mean any offense, but that number is probably inaccurate and/or made-up), doesn't necessarily mean it's a good deck. That would depend on what you're playing against. I assume it has a good matchup against Vespiquen, since that's...

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

Just because you "tested" it and it didn't work doesn't mean that's how it's gonna go for everyone else who plays it. Maybe your list was just bad. 10 basic energy is a really small number, barely enough for a one in six chance. You definitely should run more than that, or have a lot of deck...
