Just for clarification, if this proceeded to Sudden Death (i.e. next prize card taken) without a new game start the game would go on forever, neither of us would deck out. I'm sure there are other variants of this ending, but Claydol makes it possible for games without end.

Pretty much what I thought, but interesting to note that Scramble Energy explicity states that it must be discarded if the Pokemon is no long evolved or evolves into an ex. Is there anything further here?
