Not every Pokémon in the pack art is good or even not boring. Be glad the Misty and Ethan cards aren't bad. Usually getting one good archetype is all you can expect from a set and sometimes not even that. It's just Mabostiff. I never had any sort of an expectation for it to be good.

Because no one is going to be playing this deck so it doesn't matter. These are filler cards

What did you expect? Not every archetype in the set was going to be good. Cynthia and Ethan look pretty good with Misty looking to have some potential. I didn't expect much from Arven. Plus Arven isn't exactly known for his battle prowess.
