Creatures Reveals TCG's New Focus on Five Weaknesses, Dragon Likely Removed

I already explained how that doesn't take away from their development time for future games; if anything it benefits future games. And calling fans "entitled" is annoying because it's been the laziest excuse used to defend terrible decisions made in video games, when the fans have legitimate...

Creatures Reveals TCG's New Focus on Five Weaknesses, Dragon Likely Removed

Yeah, I couldn't really make up my mind about whether this simplification could be good or bad. I'm seeing the comments for why it could be bad, and I was thinking the same thing about games just being decided by weakness. But at the same time, I couldn't quite see removing Fairy and potentially...

Creatures Reveals TCG's New Focus on Five Weaknesses, Dragon Likely Removed

And to that point, I'm saying there is a simple solution. As solution that takes time, sure, but a solution none-the-less. And I totally agree with wishing people would stop blaming the developers for the issues. It's just that "entitled" isn't the word. I think either "ignorant" or just flat...

Creatures Reveals TCG's New Focus on Five Weaknesses, Dragon Likely Removed

Well, this got super off topic. But to put my two cents into this (again), I've yet to see any convincing argument FOR the complete removal of Pokemon in SwSh. And the "entitled gamer" angle is probably the single laziest excuse to defend bad decisions in video games. Like Yaginku said, the...

Creatures Reveals TCG's New Focus on Five Weaknesses, Dragon Likely Removed

I was thinking about it, and I wondered if this simplification of weaknesses would lead to changes in the approach to deck building and match ups. But aside from potentially increasing match ups devolving into a mainly one-sided fight, it doesn't seem all that different? Maybe this could make it...

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

If I'm being honest, I only knew it was an uncommon because I looked at it in my binder before saying that. lol Otherwise, I would have assumed it was a common.

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

The only problem with that theory is that they plan these sets out months in advance, from what I understand. So the decision to include this Frosmoth most likely happened before the SwSh base sets released in Japan. But they just knew that its Ability was so good on a Stage 1, there's no way...

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

Yeah, that would've been fun. lol

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

And there go the hopes and dreams of a third (and fourth) Skyla full art. lol But honestly, if there were only going to be two full art Supporters in the set, it should be Sonia and Milo. Give the new characters their full arts.

Once again, amazing art for Sonia by Naoki Saito!

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

Well, that was a genuine surprise. I wonder if there will be a third Skyla full art too. (I mean, technically, if there was, there'd be a fourth one because of the rainbow rare.) Sonia and Milo should get full arts, but I guess we'll see about Skyla in a few days. Meanwhile, Elesa got one...

'Pokemon HOME' to Launch with Free and Premium Features, GTS, IV Checking

The only real frustrating thing is locking the ability to transfer from Pokemon Bank behind the paywall. Offering Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter for free for a month after Home's launch is nice, but mostly only relevant if you're already paying for Home. ...And if you're only transferring...

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Anything that targeted EX's included Megas too. But if something specifically wanted to target Megas, like Mega Turbo, it says so. And honestly, it sounds like @Timmony_tcg has the best explanation! I see no reason why that wouldn't be the case.

    'VMAX Rising,' Japan's February Set!

Why wouldn't VMax count as V? They evolve from Pokemon V. Especially in the context of Twin Energy clearly trying to be balanced by giving the advantage to non-ultra rare type cards, that would be some colossal oversight IF VMax was categorized as being completely different than Pokemon V.

Sword & Shield Expansion Packs Announced: New and Returning Pokemon!

So long as the Switch's eShop is supported by Nintendo, there shouldn't be an expiration.

Sword & Shield Expansion Packs Announced: New and Returning Pokemon!

You're going for shinies of all the legendaries in White 2? Seriously, best of luck to you! Kind of makes me want to pick up Omega Ruby and shiny hunt again. I didn't catch any of the optional legendaries, just so I could hunt them with the Shiny Charm. Ho-oh was next on my list... Oh, gosh...

Sword & Shield Expansion Packs Announced: New and Returning Pokemon!

Yeah, I completed a living Pokedex in both White 2 and Omega Ruby. It's very satisfying! I remember wanting to get the Shiny Charm to try catching a shiny Latias and Cresselia in White 2, but those two never happened. But in OR, I caught a shiny Reshiram and Cresselia! I'm very proud of those...

Sword & Shield Expansion Packs Announced: New and Returning Pokemon!

I'm genuinely surprised by how uplifting a lot of this news was to me. It doesn't change the fact that SwSh still have archaic, unpolished aspects to them that need to be addressed in future games. And while I still have some gripes and hesitation about SwSh, there was a lot of good things for...

    Pokemon Direct Announced For Thursday!

I agree that it seems likely for Pokemon Home or Sleep. I don't know if I trust them to properly handle a remake of Diamond and Pearl after their mindset for SwSh. With that attitude, they'd approach it like, "Well, I guess we're obligated to do this, so let's get this over and done with or...
