Japan's SM6+ Set, 'Dragon Storm,' Plus 'Champion Road' Mini-Set!

This is why you run multiple copies of Altaria and have at least 2 on the bench for the damage mods to matter. Sometimes a bit of damage can make a difference. Sunny Day Lurantis may only boost the damage done by Fire/Grass Pokemon by 20, but it did see play in a winning Golisopod GX deck to...

Japan's SM6+ Set, 'Dragon Storm,' Plus 'Champion Road' Mini-Set!

Altaria's main use is its ability to increase the damage Dragon Pokemon inflict. The Altaria from Dragons Exalted saw a degree of play for the exact same reason with the Mach Cut Garchomp. I think Dragonite is alright. 70 damage for a single energy is cool and with the damage modifiers from...

He mistyped the Ultra Prism Dragons' weaknesses as "Dairy" instead of "Fairy". It's since become a running joke.

Standard “Nuclear” Deck (On a Budget)

Counter Energy's effects only work on non-EXs/GXs; it gives EX/GXs a colorless energy regardless of prize count.

Never expected Zinnia to come as a supporter. She should've been in Primal Clash or Roaring Skies, but w/e. Let's just hope she and Lance Prism give Dragons the boost they need. The stadium to the left of Brooklet Hill is apparently Devoured Field, while the one to the left of it resembles Wela...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Regarding translations: -Hawlucha: Freefall > Sky Drop, a move that Hawlucha gets in the games. It should be worded like Guardians Rising Alolan Golem's Heavy Slam: "This attack does 20 less damage for each [C] in your opponent's Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost." -Scatterbug: Plague should be...

Japan's SM6+ Set, 'Dragon Storm,' Plus 'Champion Road' Mini-Set!

Guessing it's because that Dragonite and its pre evolutions are more associated with water than grass (they don't get Grass moves at all, while they learn a buttload of Water moves). Have mixed feelings about the change because Kingdra is the other Dragon Pokemon that uses Water and Electric...

The Dragon type Dragonite cards printed before the GX use Grass and Electric. I don't see Dragonite GX being any different.

New Zygarde-GX and Aether Foundation Employee Promos!

To quote Phil Swift: Now that's a lotta damage! At least this Zygarde can steamroll through those meme Guzzlord decks if it gets set up fast enough.

    Standard decidueye GX/leafeon GX

It adds 2 Grass Pokemon from your discard pile to your hand. Hate to be blunt here, but you can just Google for it too.

    Expanded Turbo Metal

Any design of basic energy is allowed in standard/expanded tournaments, if I remember correctly.

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

You're reading it wrong. Guzzlord forces you to mill your deck if you have an even number of prizes, not your opponent's.

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Looks like Noivern GX/Garbodor may going to be a thing. You can either discard your opponent's items with Noibat or lock them down with Noivern GX. Either way, Garbodor will have a field day if the opponent has to Sycamore away their items in the latter case or benefit from the slew of discarded...

    Lycanroc 'Champion's League' Promo

This is a neat addition to Buzzwole/Lycanroc decks as a non-EX/GX attacker if you don't want to use Breakpoint Sudowoodo, baby Midnight Lycanroc, or baby Zygarde 50%. I also find it interesting that it combined elements of past Lycanroc cards, like taking the Midnight form's GX attack and...

    Carbink Promo in 'CoroCoro Ichiban!'

At least Carbink Break has something else to evolve from. You now have 3 flavors: immunity to EXs (not very useful given that they're starting to fall off outside of Volcanion), protecting your basic Pokemon's basic energies from being discarded by card effects, and fetching stadiums/supporters...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Why does Greninja GX have 2 retreat when the baby version has free retreat already? A retreat cost of 1 would've made more sense considering how fast Greninja is in the video games. That being said, someone better not drop this on their lap during a Sycamore and pull it out for a free 30 damage...

    Standard Solgaleo GX Deck Feedback

If you're playing a full stage 2 line, you need to max out the Rare Candies. For starters, I'd remove the Counter and Rainbow energies; I don't see them being useful because your 1 prizers can be accelerated with Sol Burst, while Rainbow Energy works better with attackers that need different...

The only difference is the artist. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything done by Kanako Eo.

    Standard Revised Garchomp List

I still think Choice Band should be there because there are stage 2 GXs that exceed the 210 mark. A boosted Royal Blades can KO a Gardevoir with Choice Band or a Decidueye with Devoured Field + Choice Band.

    Standard Dusk Mane Necrozma

Now that Field Blower is out, I'm wary of including FFB because there's a possibility that the equipped Pokemon will be between its base HP and the boosted HP and Field Blower will remove the FFB, KOing it for an easy prize or two before an attack.
