That full art Celebi is amazing.
Wish they would go full throttle and do a standard set of full arts. From common to hyper rare, *everything* is a full art.
How is it baseless and misguided when a lot of the YouTube community shifted from pack openings for the chase of a card and went into chase for the *money* with thumbnails and clickbait titles with prices and dollar signs which then created the snowball we’re in now?
Shockingly still in stock.
Can’t say the same for the Pikachu kitchen accessories. Those got scalped when they dropped the Battle Styles boosters the day before last.
Being a Pokémon fan has went from enjoyable to annoying since September and I fully blame the bigger pack openers on YouTube...
Would help if they were actually like the old black star promos and not just regular set cards with a stamp.
They could even use an alternate art and use the same set card and have the art be the promo aspect of the card, but they don’t.
I was wondering when Pokémon GO would get a TCG treatment.
I hope they do more than Willow. I wouldn’t mind if they did a Rocket-like set with the 3 different teams (and even Team GO Rocket). There’s a lot of concepts in GO that would make for interesting TCG cards and themes.
Maybe even a new...
Hope they bring back a card aesthetic similar to the HGSS era of cards with the inevitable Pokémon Legends inspired sets.
It was a nice touch of modern and paper/scroll inspired influences. The cards felt special, in retrospect.
“We will improve—”
“Sir, we’re making record profits right now.”
“We plan to improve. However, for the time being...”
But really, I can’t wait for the bubble to pop. I actually miss seeing old GX boxes no one wanted on the bottom shelves in droves.
So glad these are in packs and not glorified penny sleeves with a cardboard layer that moves around.
And if you’re watching your caloric intake, just get a plain cheeseburger, sub fries for apple slices x2 and get an unsweetened tea or water. Comes out to 270-ish cal.
I hope they are packaged somewhat better than they were last year. It was hard getting a card that wasn’t creased and/or had janky corners.
Would be nice if they sold the whole set in a mini binder for $14.99 / $19.99.
The Pokémon cereal has been around for a couple months now (at Walmart, anyway).
I assume they will start printing the same box with the card promotion.
