So in the new trailer Mega Evolution was officially confirmed to return. Although we've heard nothing about new ones, I'm assuming we're only getting the ones from Gen.6 (and not getting any new ones).

Usually it's only a one way transfer system between generations (with the earlier gen's Pokemon being permanently transferred to the next gen's game) The only exception to this was between Gen 1 and 2 (and anything being sent to R/B/Y from G/S/C couldn't have any new moves or be a new Pokemon etc)
