man i'm glad i held off judgement for the extra pages. lucario and absol look good in-engine. liiiiking the new absol competitively speaking, assuming it functions as "transform when entering battle", it at least uses up an item slot, which is a hugely defining feature.

Absol, Mawile, and Blaziken look pretty cool... The rest of the megas are pretty off. I'll hold off till I see them animated in 3d however. I didn't like Fennekin until I saw it modelled.

RE: Anyone else upset at the type distribution of the Fairy type? They most likely wanted pure typing on both. fairy<->dark. But the thing is obviously flying and they have sky battles now. There's a wonderful opportunity here to make a truly unique legendary encounter.

I don't think there's a need for this. Too much potential complication. However, they can continue to make pokemon with "almost a type" using the ability slot. Toxicroak is almost water type. Levitate is almost flying. They could make an interesting pokemon with a clear 4x weakness and...
