I don't see why we can't get an English set alongside a Japanese one. In the past, we have consistently gotten at least a few cards every now and then before the Japanese - it happened as recently as Next Destinies. Would it take a lot of cooperation and communication between the two? Yes...

RE: Pokemon Rumored To Be Retyped As Fairy You're still thinking 56 old Pokemon will be re-typed. That's almost 9% of all old Pokemon - and combine that with whatever NEW Pokemon will have Fairy-type, and you're talking about Fairy becoming the 5th most-common type. on that, I just cannot see it.

If they don't sync up the TCG, that means we'll be almost 6 months into the generation before we get any Gen 6 cards (outside of promos). I don't think they'll want to do that to themselves; they can potentially lose a LOT of players and collectors, who may think they just completely forgot...

I for one am pleased by this decision - and I look forward to that "new" format in 2015!
