Okay, I did a poll a while ago. Most people were knowledgeable and chose Arceus. They chose right!
Arceus is better than mew because...
1. It being so called ugly is just somebody's stupid opinion, that should not change anything...
2. Mew actualy CAN NOT turn into Arceus! It can turn into any pokemon that it created. It did not create Heatran (regigigas did), The 3 dragons (Arceus did) and the 3 lake guardians (Also arceus) ...
3. Even if Mew could change into Arceus, WHICH IN CAN'T!!!, in a battle, Arceus would get to attack first
4. If you watch Arceus and the jewel of life, you would see 2 things, one of them is arceus being able to talk. It isnt a big advantage, but it can be useful...
5. the other one is being able to destroy 3 incredibly powerful pokemon in one hit, with its SUPER DUPER JUDGEMENT!!!
6. Arceus would be able to call up any pokemon to its side. Mew would be able to do this with most pokemon, but not all!
7. The scientists who say mew is the best pokemon in the games and anime dont know about arceus. If they did, instead of creating mewtwo, they would have made Arceustwo.
