I remember mine well. It was shortly after I had purchased my E-Reader (didn't get it brand new, but a few years later), so naturally I wanted to get cards. I was out at garage sales with my Dad, and say a kid who was selling Pokemon Cards. "Oh boy!", I thought. E-Reader fuel! So, I asked him what he had. He showed me a bunch of E cards, then a Shining Celebi, Gyrados, and Magikarp. I wasn't well educated in uber-rare cards, so naturally I skipped the Shinies completely and blew my money on Koffings, Chanseys, and Tauroses. Now, a few years later, I am kicking myself in the butt.

I was touring Gold Coast, Australia when I saw a tin containing Zapdos and 3 Boosters, at $20. 3 Boosters will cost $18, so $2 for that was a great deal. I.....
skipped that oppourtunity and bought
1 Blah blah Deoxys pack and
2 Blah blah Emerald pack

for $18.

$2 for a promo card and a tin is a deal, esp. when I can use the promo in my Shocking Fire deck.

I had the chance to get vapreon holographic and I got the jungle electrode and I could have still gotten the card and my friend told me not to get it so I didn't and now I have him but in non-holo form. We went to a fair and they had a pokemon stand and electrode was my first rare and here is one good thing my friend said. Never trade your first rare no matter how bad it is and I still have it.:)
 
I didn't trade my mew ex at the league for the 3 pokemon star cards in LM!

Also, when I got my nintendo power with the groudon and kyogre ex, I treasured them. When I heard about the pokemon league, I built a deck with both of them in it. At the league, some little kid told me "WOW! Those are great cards! *searches through his cards* I'll trade you a vaporeon ex, jolteon ex, torchic *, treecko *, and a metagross * for those cards!" And guess what: I only had 1 of each, so.....


I DIDN'T DO THE TRADE!!!
 
Mine happened last Saturday. I saw the Moltres tin that I needed for the entire set of the 3 promos for ya know like 11 or 10$. Instead I decided I didn't need legend maker and deoxys so I bought 2 R/G in hope of a pidgeot for 1 of my decks. I'm kicking myself in the butt 2 right now 'cause 1 of my friends bought the tin. He got a duxtos ex, jirachi dx, and a muk lm. i however got a holo pidgey and crap and then a really bad rare or something like that, cause I don't remember what I got. Again the tins are all powerful 'cause i've 3 opened and all 3 had ex's and good rares, and mine didn't have crap!!

well,yesterday i want to get a moltres ex tin but i didn't,i get 3 booster packs instead.Oh no,i got bad rares and not even any rare-holo!and my friend buy the tin and got a arcanine ex,banette ex and crobat ex!i amc kicking my butt now!
 
What issues did those cards come in because I never got them. If they were in 2003 I never got them because I could not afford it at the time.:(:)
 
Edwardooi, stop lying! The tins don't have 2 Ledgend Makers, so how did he get 2 exs out of 2 packs that he didn't get in the first place?
