I want to learn how to play (not that I will actually have anyone to play with. :() but anyway, I know the basics, but are there any VERY in depth tutorial videos? I want to read threads here and know what you're all talking about, e.g.

Feinting spell
4-2-4

Etc. Thanks d00ds.

you don't need a video to know what people are talking about. Fainting spell is Gengar SF power, all it does is that if gengar is knocked out by damage from an attack you flip a coin, if heads the pokemon that attacked Gengar is also knocked out. And a 4-2-4 Pokemon line means-
4 Basic
2 Satge 1
4 Stage 2

you'll pickup all the pokemon terms sooner or later, plus it helps to research some cards. I've never seen any in depth pokemon TCG related tutorial videos anywhere, the best you'll find are the basic tutorial videos.

that would be nice, especially to all the people who are quite new to the pokemon scene, or people who left the game and what to return.

I offer this to every new player willing to learn; drop me a line by PM and if you want, I can teach you at least the basics and some simple tricks.
Yes, I like to help people. Shocked? Some people might be.

I am Lou. You need to set up a team that helps people with the TCG like with rules and deck building, similar to what the Experts do. ;p

Anyway, yeah. The best way you can learn is by watching good people play at League or something. Brush up in the Card-dex too.

Nah d master, I wouldnt be able to maintain a team like that, simply because I dont help just anyone - I only help courteous people who are actually willing to learn, I don't help guys who go like "GIVE ME A GOOD DECK SO I CAN WIN KTHXBYE", if you catch my drift. If a team like you're proposing gets set up, then I can bet you a tenner that it'll be flooded with people like that.

Not necessarily. I think there will be more people wanting to find new combos to make decks than the kind of people you're referring to. You don't really know until you see proof.

You know, I think it would be better to teach beginners the metagame decks, before they learn to deviate and create more roguish combinations. That way, they're foundation is more solid.

I disagree Zyflair. The way I teach beginning players the game is by letting them pick a Pokemon they like, and build something simple to use around it. This way, they get accustomed to the game in a way they enjoy, rather then using Pokemon they might not like at all.
Then again, I mostly teach 5 to 9 year olds at my league.

Hm... I see where you're basing your point, but while it makes the game more enjoyable, it may not teach them the all of the essential skills needed for competitive playing. Otherwise, your method is just as good, or perhaps better, than what I believe in.
