No one has talked about this game but it comes out tomorrow.

So from what I understand Mistwalker has opted not to make the sequel for 360 but instead made it for the DS. Now I know some people weren't too big on the 360 game but personally I thought it was a pretty solid rpg, just nothing ground breaking. So as the actual sequel to Blue Dragon I'm definitely going to grab this one. Not to mention it's a SRPG now which I'm finding I much prefer over the standard turn based RPGs. I've got my fingers crossed that this will be a good one.

Hmmm, I've still got bad tastes in my mouth from Heroes of Mana, Children of Mana, etc. i.e., not good for the DS. I had high hopes a month ago, but it looks as it hasn't fulfilled what I thought it would turn out like.

Well Blue Dragon 2, the true sequel, is still in fact still slated for the 360. There's also another DS title due out in Japan this year.

Anyway, I'll be picking the game up sometime over the next few weeks after I get my hands on Dragon Quest V. I'm still pretty burnt out from my Street Fighter IV CE and my DSi reservation.

^Revenant Wings wasn't half bad.

CTRL-F "Revenant Wings" NOT FOUND IN POST. One of the few RTS games for the DS I did not mention that's actually decent. Read harder. >__>

Well, from what I've heard the two games are both pretty similar. Maybe that is what Noobnerd was getting at?

EDIT: Actually, I thought you meant "etc" as in other real time SRPGs, not Mana games. Sorry.

No, I meant other DS Mana games, sorry if that's what I implied Noobnerd. Yeah, it's been getting mixed reviews so far; I've learned my lesson on these RTS/RPG games. No Square Enix logo? No go. ;o

Both those Mana games you mentioned were Square games though. Square put out Heroes in the US themselves too.

Still I don't really use Mana as a standard since those games peaked with the SNES and they've never got them right since.

Oh yeah. I was thinking about the actual publishers, like for this game Brownie Brown, who worked on those Mana games, IIRC, so basically this is a SNES "remake" too, if you were to look at it at that.
