Hi everyone. Just curious if anybody has any ideas for Buzzwole deck. Seems that it has potential but not sure. Do you think it will be a viable card? Why or why not?

First of all, since you have not listed a 60-card deck for review and feedback, a Forum Moderator may move your thread to another Forum - just FYI.

Secondly, @Dark Espeon started a thread regarding Buzzwole GX (with a draft list) here in the Deck Garage at: http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/thr...-sudowoodo-carbink-break.141767/#post-2902221

In response to your specific questions above, IMO, Buzzwole GX will/should be quite viable and played for several reasons:

  • I've played (and still play in Expanded format games) Landorus EX (released a few years ago) which also has a similar 30-100/30 first attack. The 30-100 damage output range will vary defending upon the attached energy and Tool, as well as the Weakness of the defending Pokémon. From my experience in playing Landorus EX, the minimal 30/30 damage output is outstanding for just one F energy.
  • Given one only needs to attach 1 energy to the active Buzzwole GX before it can attack, this allows you to utilize a variety of different tactics to construct your deck. For example, you could incorporate several Max Potions just to maintain an on-going damage "rain" - this damage will add up and can likely setup multiple, easy KOs mid-to-late game.
  • Buzzwole GX's Weakness is Psychic, and there aren't many, strong Psychic decks currently in the meta. Further, Buzzwole GX's 190 HP makes it less likely to be a 1HKO target.
I definitely plan to use it.

I hope you find these comments helpful.
