Ruling can you play trainer and suporter cards when your asleep

A bit of a clarification here: To say you are Asleep is incorrect. I assume that you mean your active Pokemon, correct?

Anyway, yes, you can still play Trainer and Supporter cards even if your active Pokemon is Asleep. The rulebook does not say that you cannot, therefore, it is perfectly legal to play them. In fact, there is not a single special condition in this format that would prevent you from playing them. Trainer cards can be prevented from seeing play, however, the only cards that do so is Kabutops MD, Gastly SF, and Dialga G PL.

Yes. A Trainer/Supporter card has nothing to do if your active Pokemon is asleep.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

To add on, you can only not attack/retreat if your active Pokemon is asleep. Same goes with Poke Power/Poke Bodies unless the text says so.

You cannot play trainers and supporters/ or stadiums, or pokemon or energy when your asleep, as your asleep, and obviously are unaware of whats going on. Now if your talking POKEMON, yes you can. You may not attack, but you can use bodies, and some powers, if they dont say affected by special condition. You can play trainers that also heal the condition away, as well.

The guy posting this thread is new to the TCG so say what you really mean. @ the topic yes you can play trianer cards when you're asleep.

Says you. =P
But yes, no special conditions have any effects on what kind of cards you can play. You are free to play Trainers/Supporters (1 per turn)/Stadiums, unless the effect of a card prevents you from doing so (the most popular example being Dialga G).
