Choosing a Garbodor Varient

I have been testing varients of Garbodor recently and have mainly been working with Mewtwo terrakion but am still struggling to discover the best varient. IMO so far Garbodor/Mewtwo/Terrakion EX has been the best. Teching a Terrakion NVI with that has been decent but heres what ive been working with.

Garbodor/Mewtwo/Terrakion EX/Landorus EX

I have tried just about every different combination of energy counts and nothing seems to work with this deck. Terrakion can accelerate energy to landorus for land judgement but there are problems with that that are to big to make it good. Discarding energy in this deck is bad. Just bad. This deck doesnt have any room for energy retrieval and the biggest fallback of this situation is the 3+ retreat cost on everything except mewtwo. While searchable with heavy ball you use two switches inbetween every lands judgement. It just wont work. The only way i see Terrakion EX/ Landorus EX having synergy is running it with Darkrai and no Garbodor.

Garbodor Mewtwo Terrakion EX

Testing with this deck actually went very smoothly. It has room to tech in more attackers like a terrakion NVI or Landorus EX . It actually works very well with Terrakion EX and its fairly consistant. Garbodor covers your first 3 to four turns for your setup and by having 1-2 cilan in this deck this strategy can have 2-3 pokemon fully loaded with energy ready to go by turn 6-7 while hitting for 90 every turn after turn 3. A couple issues with this deck i have is i just feel a lack of attack power. It is really nice to start Mewtwo DCE and then set Terrakion EX up on the bench while just hitting with mewtwo for 40+ but i feel it still lacks that strong attacker. Techs you could run with this could be Landorus EX, Terrakion NVI or even Bouffalant would be nice with it being able to abuse DCE

I still want to test a Registeel EX/ Cobalion to tank with eviolite and potion (using protect charge and iron breaker) but im unsure of what is the best varient. Skyla makes the consistency of any varient skyrocket but it still deals with the issue of attack power and heavy retreat. Let me know what yall think and i appreciate any help.

Energy Retreival is much better than Cilan in Mewtwo/Terra/Garbo IMO, seeing as late game consistency>early game speed in this deck.

Il have to test that out. Thanks. Cilan doesnt fit very well anyway since you need two to be consisntant. What does your energy count look like? I run 8 fight and 4 DCE.

It's OK, but Terra/Mewtwo is better, since Registeel Cobalion doesn't do enough damage to score many KOs.

Thats true. Do you think it would be worth it to run registeel as a 1 of tech to provide catcher relief against eels?

Well, seeing as you hit for SE and lock their energy accel anyway, it's not like you need help against eels.

It is an awesome deck no doubt. I prefer TerraEX/Mewtwo/Garbo. Cilan works pretty well for when you have no energy in your hand. My biggest problems are mewtwo eels and rayeels. Even by locking their eels, they hit by heavy damage my attackers. It depends of the first turns when my Terrakion EX are doesn't have the third energy and he is just smashing all my mewtwo/Terra.

I do like using TerraEX to attach fighting with pump up smash and then DCE for turn. Only problem with that is it really isnt very consistent to me at least and with running skyla, cilan will make your RR's consistency drop to the point where it isnt really worth the space.
