Ruling Delphox BREAK

The "Flare Witch" ability on this card states: " once during your turn ( before your attack), you may search your deck for a [F] energy card and attach it to one of your Pokemon. Shuffle your deck afterward."

Since this does not specify the word "Basic" and only has the fire symbol, can this be a non Basic Energy such as Burning Energy?

Burning Energy only provides [R] Energy when attached to a Fire Pokemon. If it's anywhere else, including your hand, discard pile or deck, it doesn't provide any Energy at all. On a related note Rainbow Energy provides [C] Energy instead of every type unless it is attached to a Pokemon. Delphox BREAk can only search the deck for cards that are actively providing [R] Energy, not cards that only provide it while in play. There are currently no Special Energy cards that provide [R] Energy while in the deck in the Standard or Epxanded formats, so Flare Witch can effectively only search for Basic Energy.
