My question is regarding Dustox's Smogscreen attack. My question is, is the "Defending Pokemon" effect on Dustox or is it on whatever Pokemon happened to be active at the time Smogscreen was used? In other words, if the active Pokemon ceases to be active anymore for whatever reason, will my opponent still have to flip?
 
It's an effect on the Defending Pokemon. If your opponent switches his or her active Pokemon out, then the effect would go away.
