I have a few questions to ask here:

1.How much time does a thread became a dead thread ?

2.Can I revive a thread that is made by myself ?

3.Can a thread became a dead thread in the trading forum ?

1) According to the rules, a thread becomes dead if the most recent post is 2 weeks old or older. For example, if the last post is 5/07/06, and the current day is 5/22/06, then the thread is considered dead, and nobody can reply to it anymore.

If you see someone revive a dead topic, do not reply to it, even to tell them that it is dead. Instead, just use the Report button on the post that revived the topic.

A thread listed in the "Important Threads" are is a sticky thread. It is not time dependent, like other threads, and can be replied to at any time.

2) The only time you can revive a topic is if there is "recent development", which is somewhat obscure. It basically means that if something new has come up For example, let's say that there is a thread in the TCG Questions forum that asks about a ruling for a card, and someone clarifies it. Then, 1 month later, POP makes new ruling for the card. At that point, it would be okay to revive the thread. Still, most of the time, you are probably better off starting a new thread.

You also cannot bump your own thread, unless you updated old information in it.

3) Most likely, but I am not sure on this one.

Threads in the trading forum can become dead, but the thread creator can revive it with an update to their inventory and/or new wants they are looking for.

As for Fanfics, I would say you could revive them if you take a break from writing a story but want to continue writing it.

Sorry, what is Fanfic, and what is bump ???
'Bumping' is refered to posting in a thread so it is moved to the top of the page, to attract more attention, when there is no new deveopments to the topic. This is not allowed.

Fanfic? Go look in the fan creation or misc thread. Normally a story or narrative-thing that people make up.
