This is just a hypothetical deck that has been in my head for awhile. Since i love electric pokemon a lot (I run a magnezone/raikou/pikachu ex/jolteon ex deck currently) and saw ampharos coming out along with the newest set, i was wondering if it's viable to run. I say future/hypothetical build because some cards are going to be rotated out, so might as well be expanded? I have no idea. So this is my future build. If this sounds stupid to you, i understand: it's 1am and i have nothing better to do.

In reality, this deck is sort of meh. My idea is just piss off my opponent to oblivion. Ampharos ability sets 3 DAMAGE COUNTERS onto one of your opponent's ex pokemon once per turn. So keeping that in mind, let's see the rest of our pokemon: 2 Shaymins and 3 Wailords. There's a reason why we have 4 DCE in our list is because it's for Shaymin. Yes, Shaymin is your attacker for the game. with Shaymin "sky returning" and having at least 2-3 Ampharos set up, you're basically dealing 90-120 damage while Shaymin goes back into your hand along with the float stone it's going to be attached to. Majority of your opponent's EXs are going to run some type of special energy, so it's nice to stop that from happening while they're gradually taking damage. Switch is your insurance if anything really bad goes down. The thing that this deck will struggle with is fighting type pokemon. Many strong hitting non-ex pokemon are Fighting and their message is to destroy EX pokemon. So your shaymin's and Wailord's are going to be in trouble. Plus Fighting pokemon are energy efficient pokemon, so someone like garchomp with turbo assult will not be phased by this deck at all. Plus Ampharos is weak against fighting. Overall, aside from fighting matchups, atleast this deck will give some headaches once set up. There are a lot of 4's for good reason imo, but i'm sure there are ways to cut corners to fit somethings in the mix. Woooo for 2am postings. Have fun tearing this apart.
