Ruling gengar AR vs gengar prime

I have a question regarding these 2 cards. If I were to use the gengar with the attack shadow skip and KO a pokemon, then switch to gengar prime from the lost link mini set who's pokebody states:

Poke-Body: Catastrophe
As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, if an opponent’s Pokemon is Knocked Out, that Pokemon is placed in the Lost Zone. (All cards other than Pokemon cards are discarded.)

does the pokebody activate if I do it?

my initial thought it yes since KO's arent checked for until the end of the turn. but I thought it would be best to post it here anyways so I can get a better idea. I would post it on another site (rhymes with pokeswim....) but they dont do rulings on cards that havent been released yet.

My thought is yes it goes to the lost zone because you complete all effects of attacks before checking for KOs. I can't say this is what the official ruling will be because the card is not officially out yet in English. Other professors are welcome to add on or voice their opinion.~Mark

P.S. I wouldn't care if you said Pokegym because it contains the Compendium which is an official source for rulings.

I agree with dragonexpert. Similar to the ruling regarding switching attacks in conjunction with Glaceon LV. X's "Chilly Breath" Poke-BODY, I would believe that Gengar Prime's Poke-BODY would be active by the time KOs are checked; therefore the defending Pokemon would be placed into the Lost Zone.

Chilly Breath (Glaceon Lv.X - Majestic Dawn)

Q. What happens if I Knock Out my opponent's Gengar using some kind of hit & run attack, but I bring up Glaceon Lv.X with the "Chilly Breath" Poke-BODY that shuts down Poke-Powers?
A. The Chilly Breath would shut off Gengar's Fainting Spell before it would have a chance to be used. (Jan 15, 2009 PUI Rules Team)

Lost Link FAQ says yes, Catastrophe does trigger after a hit-and-run attack.
Q: If I bring Gengar Active after dealing damage with Farfetch’d’s (HS) “Spin Turn” attack, can a Pokemon that’s Knocked Out by damage from the Spin Turn attack be placed in the Lost Zone ?
A: Yes, it can. First, all effects of the attack are processed, then Pokemon with no HP remaining are determined to be Knocked Out. So, since Gengar’s Catastrophe Poke-Body is in effect at the time when the opponent’s Pokemon is determined to be Knocked Out, the Knocked Out Pokemon can be placed in the Lost Zone.
Spin Turn is a hit-and-run move. Therefore Catastrophe can be extended to all hit-and-run moves.
