Ruling Gengar SF 1-1 prize

I was playin my friend Alex today and he was using Kingdra. In the end it was 1-1 prize and he used aqua stream to KO my gengar. Now Gengar's fainting spell poke-power states "If gengar would be knocked out from damage from an attack, you may flip a coin, if heads the defending pokemon is knocked out"

Now if I were to flip heads would it bring the game to sudden death or would I even get to use the pokepower because Gengar is already considered knocked out.

Also If I were to flip heads what would be the order of steps,
opponen't pokemon gets knocked out first giving you the win
gengar getting knocked out first giving opponent the win
both pokemon getting knocked out at the same time making it a draw.

I'll ask pokegym once the set comes out if you guys can't answer

I think the effect is activated as it gets KO'd. So if you flip heads, both of one are considered KO'd at the same time. Therefore, it should be sudden death.
 
It says "if Gengar would be Knocked Out". It's Power has to be used before it's discarded, which happens as soon as it's Knocked Out. So the Gengar player would win on a heads, I believe.

So it would go like this-
Kingdra Attacks for 60 against Gengar with 60 HP >
Gengar's power activates because it will be Knocked Out >
Gengar player flips heads, Kingdra is Knocked Out >
Gengar player draws a prize card >

If last prize:
Gengar player has no more Prizes! Gengar player wins!

If not:
Gengar is Knocked Out.
 
In the scenerio you posted, the game would indeed go to Sudden Death, unless one player was also benched out (having no more pokemon in play). If 1 player was benched, then that player would lose the game, having only 1 win condition, and the other would win having 2 win conditions. Otherwise, Sudden Death is played.

thanx DukeFireBird that is what I thought was supposed to happen but i think they should make the wording more clear the next time they make a card like that
