Ruling Going First

Okay, I know this is a really basic question but I have not played the game in a while and my friends and I were talking about going first in a match and I had a few questions.

1) Can you rare candy a pokemon in play?
2) Who is able to attack first and when exactly? I seem to remember the person who went first can attack first, just not on turn one.
3) They eliminated the no supporters on turn one rule with BW right?

Sorry again for the really basic questions.

1) No. You still have to wait a turn like usual.
2) Whoever goes first has the option to attack if they so choose.
3) Correct.

1) The way Rare Candy is played has changed; you now may only use it when one of your Pokemon has been out for at least 1 turn. You might want to read the text on Rare Candy from Dark Explorers to understand this. http://pokebeach.com/scans/dark-explorers/100-rare-candy.jpg

2) The player going first can attack on the first turn.

3) Yes, you may play Supporters and Items on your first turn now.

EDIT: Ninja'd by King Arceus.
