Now with Mega Evolution, This thing will wreck, especially now that he has skill link and access to all these multi-hit moves, wow.... Discuss Heracross all you like but before I let this go I must say, Speed boost Ninjask + Protect + Sub + Possible swords dance + Baton Pass heracross + Mega evolvution = Destruction on the battle field.

...I really hope I'm not the only one who sees this mega evolution as a downgrade.

Moxie and Guts are incredible abilities. In fact, once they've activated, vanilla Heracross outpowers its mega evolution, even with the massive attack boost it got.

Skill Link just isn't worth the trade. Not to mention its slower now, which is a big problem.

And baton passing lots of speed boosts and a swords dance allows any Pokemon to cause destruction on the battlefield.

Bug/Fighting has some interesting resistances so I'm happy that Heracross gained a lot of bulk.

Keep in mind that while the mega form doesn't get a Guts or Moxie boost, there are attacks it can only use with Skill Link that have significantly greater base power and accuracy. That, alongside its massive defense buff, makes it the far more reliable Pokemon and I would use it over vanilla Heracross any day of the week.

I would probably run a no nonsense set consisting of Pin Missile / Close Combat / Rock Blast and either Bullet Seed (to beat Jellicent and Azumarill) or Earthquake (Aegislash). I don't think it's going to require a Swords Dance boost with that absurd attack and coverage.

It needs help mitigating its low Speed, though. I'd be surprised if anyone could work Mega Heracross and Sticky Web support into the same team due to the type conflicts running two Bug Pokemon would bring, but paralysis support is always welcome. I can see some decent type synergy with Barbaracle who also acts as a nice offensive check to Talonflame and lures in Grass types which Heracross gobbles up.

I have been pairing Bulk Up Heracross with defensive Barbaracle.

Barbaracle @ Leftovers / Binding Band
Ability: Tough Claws
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- Infestation
- Protect
- Razor Shell
- Stone Edge / Rock Tomb

Barbaracle lures in and traps Grass/Fighting/Ground Pokemon that Heracross can set up on. It is also a solid counter to Talonflame. Rock Tomb gets the slash because it's still a decently powered attack which further supports Heracross with the Speed drop.

I prefer Leftovers as the hold item of choice, as Barbaracle appreciates the extra recovery more than the additional damage Binding Band would inflict.

I trained this mess of a Mega up and spent several days perfectly tuning it's IVs to be perfect.

It is horrible. Don't use it.

This is coming from a guy who knows how to use bug types well...

Judging from your post in the other thread, I don't think you are using Mega Heracross correctly. You'll get a lot more mileage out of it with a few move swaps. Try the following:

Heracross @ Heracrossite
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def (these can be tweaked though...)
Ability: Guts -> Skill Link
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Pin Missile

Note that Arm Thrust didn't get a base power boost, so with Skill Link it's as powerful as Brick Break. Close Combat is the best fighting type attack for Mega Heracross to use.

I don't think carrying Heracross and Galvantula is a huge problem. I think they could work together pretty well, since the only common weakness they have is fire types. Heracross is physical while Galvantula is Special. Heracross can take out the rock types for Galvantula, while Galvantula can clear off the flying types that threaten Heracross so much. All you really need is a pokemon that can handle fire types really well, and i feel like that wouldn't be hard to find.
