Me and RickRaptor77 feel that that Shinnoh is like Canada. The climate, the Mt. Cornet everything! We wan to know if anyone else feels the same way.
 
No. Sinnoh is the Hokkaido (sp?) region of Japan. Sinnoh also has some of the south-eastern tip of Russia in it.
 
Yeah, I saw like a special camercial thing, on youtube for it, and it showed how Sinnoh is like Japan. But you do have a point about the climate, and mountains.
 
Russia is cold too. I know the south-eastern tip is far from Siberia, but Siberia is probably one of the coldest place in the world. Also, look up a map of Hokkaido and Sinnoh. It's nearly identical. ;]
 
Wel if I didnt know they were japanes Islands then I would have said yes
 
nope...sinnoh looks like hokkaido. the name speaks for itself "sinnoh"(japanessey):D
 
This is such A dumb question. No its not Canada. Its Hokkaido, Japan. All of the regions are based off of parts of Japan.
 
It's not Canada. Trust me. I live in Canada and it's nothing like the game.
 
In case you haven't noticed, but each Pokemon region is based off a different region in Japan. Kanto is the exact same as the Kyoto region. Just like Sinnoh is based of Hokkaido. Also, why is everyone spelling Sinnoh os Shinnoh. That's not even the Japanese spelling (Shinou).

ok, ok lemme clarify what i meant by "canada"...

ok my reson for calling the sinnoh saga "Canadian",(all canadians , no offense)

Look at the anime, the first few episode of diamond and pearl, see how it feels and looks "gray" a slight dull sensaition of the art, compare that to Hoenn/Battle Frontier, see the color and art difference, see how brighter Hoenn is??? Sinnoh retein a "gray" complexioure, gloomy like parts of canada, with high mist content in the atmoshpere...it lookes more like a boreal forest compared a relitive sunnier decedious forest, get it.
