Ruling Junk Arm and Supporters

Can I use junk arm to get Trainer: Supporter Cards, or just Trainer: Item Cards

Item cards only in B/W and later sets (and/or Trainer cards before B/W).

Cards from before Black & White that said Trainer cards are read as Item cards (since everything is now a Trainer).

not sure if this will word anything better, but
anything pre-BW that says "trainers" target "items" for post-BW cards
