Mesol (Mew & Absol Prime) Pokemon(s) to send to the lost zone.

Yeah i'm building a Mesol deck (I named this deck! If this name catches on) Anyway. The thing i started to make for the deck was the Tech/zoned attackers that mew prime will use to attack and absol prime will send so he can attack. And i have chosen 10 pokemon so far. So this thread is for helping people chose how many and what pokemon they should run as zoned attackers (pokemon in the lost zone.

Now i chose to run 10 pokemon because then i can use absol(s) attack 10 times before i need to send any of my pokemon i need on the field. And 10 attacks is pretty much (for absol) since i will be attacking with mew too. The pokemon i chose to run and why is listed below.

Machamp SF, 1 of the obvious choices since you can take out every basic without setting up a stage 2 pokemon.

Gliscor UD, Why would someone run this? Because it has ninja fang! I think this can be a really good to use on some tanking pokemon or just pokemon you could't k.o in 1 attack.

Crobat Prime, Awesome poison for 4 damage between turns without having to set up a stage 2 pokemon. And you can snipe for 30 damage which can be useful.

Crobat UL, This might come in handy. 30 damage and confuse for 1 {P} energy. Not much but can save you in some games.

Gallade E4 LV.X, Well since you start with absol (hopefully) Your opponents pokemon will be damaged so aimed cut might some in handy on higher hp pokemon.

Froslass LA, Just a fun thought. Destiny bond can corner your opponent and if they attack to k.o mew then their pokemon will get k.o ed too.

Houndoom UD, This one is awesome and the machamp counter in this deck. Fire counterattack dose 80 damage if the opponent has a fighting pokemon in play and mew is psychic so it attacks on machamp s weakness. so with lucario GL on the bench you 1 hit a machamp with 1 energy.

Mightyena LA, Bite on is an attack that might come in handy but since you will play machamp then this is up to you. It can be good also if you don't have machamp in the lost zone yet or only have darkness energy in hand. (i think i'll still play it)

Garchomp SV, A hard hitting attack and a defensive attack just like machamp i thing this is a obvious choice to run 1 of.

Snorlax RR, This is just a tech vs decks that might put mew to sleep.

Those were the 10 pokemon i will run in my deck (maybe). But the good thing in this deck is that you can tech vs decks you are more likely to face. And i will change the pokemon or add more when i played this, i think every one will.
But this should help some players to chose and to learn to look for pokemon they never thought of playing.

Other pokemon that works with mew prime:

Gengar SF, Gengar is always good and to do 60 damage ( damage counters) on uxie, azelf, mesprit is good for taking easy prises (with the extra damage from absol or crobat drop). And poltergeist might come in handy vs trainer lock decks.

Gliscor LA, Burning poison can get you a k.o or you can stall while you keep mew out of harms way.

Garchomp C LV.X, Can be good to snipe for 80 but takes 2 turns to load (with DCE)

Garchomp LV.X, can be used to restore any of your pokemon even mew prime to get a fully loaded attacker, mew or stage 2. If mew and you played right, you should be able to do all attacks you can via the lost zone (if using mew).

Any suggestions on what this deck could run (and why) and/or how many zone pokemon would be good to run. post them below and i'll add them to the list. (if they can good)

some players were saying that celebi prime can be good in this deck for saving yourself from stage1 & 2 pokes out there

Yeah I'm working on my own Mewsol (Abmewtar) deck but I'm taking a different approch. I'm tech'n in a Garchomp Lv.X(MD) and restoring T-tars both Prime and SF to the bench as basics and with Absol's pokebody spreading works wonders in the deck. Of couse this will only work for this season since Garchomp is getting rotated, but all around I like the idea of lostzone playing.

Gliscor LA: Burning Poison helps you recover Mew Prime?

Gyarados SF: with Junk Arm and Regice, discarding Magikarps is a breeze...do 120 Damage for no energy.

Gengar SF: Shadow Room and Poltergeist when needed.

Dusknoir SF #1: Night Spin for those Pokemon that use only 1 or 2 Energy to attack - only works against decks that need only 1 or 0 Energy to attack though.

*Facepalm* Well, the whole point of Mew is to take a slow Stage 2 X and send it to the lost zone so you can use the attack in a basic form. However, Mew only has 60 HP so I'd rather do the setting up of the actual Pokemon as Stage 2 Xs actually have a lot of HP. Another use is to hit Psychic weakness overall, but I really don't see how Mew Prime really works.

Well I'm planing on taking some prises with absol prime too so it's not really a mew prime only deck. But the pokemon i'm sending to the lost zone via absol is in the focus right now.

^That's the thing. You're using two different very low HP Pokemon to attack. Everything one shots Absol and Absol one shots nothing. Mew Prime is the same thing. If I were you, I'd just use Mew Prime to start and to attack early game easily so you're opponent's just like "Huh?" While your T2 whipping down loads of damage. And then build the real thing or a side attacker on the bench.

Yeah, maybe will do that later. I'll play with this deck a while and then when i get bored i'll make something new with mew (or absol).

I think absol will be fine. As a starter or at least T-2 the idea behind it is that once it's out you need to start killing anything played as soon as possible. If it last a decent amount of turns 2-3 or more you either have a decent spread of damage or your opponent has nothing on the field so take advantage and us a heavy hitter you may have set up. This is off the top of my head but absol prime has more pros then cons to me.

EDIT: I was thinking and maybe you could tech in Gengar level X since absol will give you spread damage if active.

^ yeah compound pain would be nice but the energy required is not. you have to keep in mind that not all good attacks can fit mew considering the hp it has

Shuppet PL? You can attach unown q to absol prime>Make mew prime active>fade out for 50 (if you use e-belt) then place absol as your active so as long as your opponent places basics they are taking an annoying amout of damage.

Yeah, Mesol gains nothing as far as Shuppet goes.
As for Garchomp X, it sounds slow to me... it would take a few turns to get it set up, and by that time, the opponent has already taken 1 or 2 prizes.
Absol Prime DOES 1-shot Gengar Prime, which I think will see some play. And for this deck with Snowpoint, put an E-belt on Absol and it's got a respectable 120 HP (that said, it's still a OHKO for Donphan, so a good setup for a donkphan deck and a bad one for this deck would mean a donk, not that uncommon...)
The entire point of this deck is to use slow stage 2s. If the new rare candy rules come to the US also (can't be used the turn a basic was played, and only used from basic to stage two), the speed of this deck will become the main focus against other decks--so it can basically only use low-energy attacks for speed and because of its low HP (I'd say 2 energy max).
So I would tech in a couple of things... maybe even Pidgeot TR for it's first attack? That's the only new thing that comes to mind...

Garchomp Lv.X only sounds slow because of the old way it was ran with mewsol and cards like sage's training, junk arm, and Regi ice discarding stage 2 cards is pretty easy and could have something like a turn 3 T-tar Prime, or Curse Gengar, or something else maybe Blastoise. The point is you get a stage 2 that can abuse Snowpoint and gets 3 energy to use it's attack.

fade out would in case mew would die but still give the ability to use other attacks if needed.

Well gliscor LA provides the same but without the energy cost. But shuppet can be used if you don't have gliscor or if you don't like adding poison/burn.

pm me when you have finished and want to test it out. I will give you a game. Over skype or something through the skype league.

Going to league today to test this idea a bit (don't have the full deck yet) And i don't have skype >.<
