Weekly Art Challenge​

Creativity is widespread and encouraged here at the PokeBeach.com Forums. It is recognized in all forms and types. This will be a contest that will allow those who exceed in art to be recognized. It is a way to promote community and have fun. Any person is welcome to join this contest.

Well, this is a simple contest; I decided to start off with an easy one. Fuse two or more Pokemon D/P sprites. Final product must follow the style in order to be considered as a winner. Ends Saturday the fourteen of June.

Judging:
Light Venusaur
I would have to say I am very disappointed with this. You minimalized shading, upped contrast far too much, and chose some less than desirable colors. The outline in some places contrasts atrociously with the interior. All in all, not good enough.

You have done nothing except paste Sheildon's head on Cranidos' body. No effort was shown.

Not extremely good, but better than the others. I would have upped the contrast if I were you.

so does that mean i can make a pixal art car the size of a sprite???
 
So one is only limited to using either warm or cool colors? Let's see if I got something that fits in either pallet nicely...

Are any shades of the grayscale allowed, BTW? God, and can't you make that tiny pallet any larger? My eyes are killin' me trying to look at it.
 
I made it larger. Also, I think I've made it extremely clear with the first post. You cannot add any different colors. No greyscale or anything. I did make warm and cool colors for a bit of choice to fit the mood of whatever you make. I used hueshifting to see how well you work with it. Shading would work very well with these palettes. i'm expecting some great PAs.
 
:/ You're talking to a drawing artist, here. Is it pixel by pixel art, of those EXACT hues, no mixing ANY of those colors with either black nor white or any other color from the pallet? If so, than I guess I'm outta this one. :/
 
its just make what ever you want in any size you want from either one of those palates, no adding of colours
