Collecting Pulling Cards with Scratches and Other Errors

So I was just admiring what I have started with my collection and noticed a few of the foil cards/my gardevoier ex rare full art has a spot and some light scratches on the others. Why does this happen basically all I have done is sorted them once and had them in binder card holder pages since I unpackaged them other than to sort/reorganise!

I am waiting on recieving card sleeves and a proper card folder so just have them stored in loose sheets at the moment! Is there anything I can do about this or not since they came this way in the package?? I plan on sleeving them as soon as I have my new sleeves and then putting them in the folder but any help would be appreciated since I am new to this.

I don't play basically I just decided I wanted to collect all the common, uncommon, rare, ultra rare and secret cards for the packs I desire! So far that is sticking to steam siege (since its newest and will be round for longer) And generations cause the pull rates are amazing and I love the cards.

Can anyone help me about the scratches or is it impossible to prevent with them coming in the package like this?? Was kinda sad when I noticed them today even though I am collecting for fun myself not to sell. I still want to keep them in great condition.

Thanks a ton!

Edit sorry if I put this in the wrong place :(

Moved to the Collector's Showcase as it's a more appropriate forum for the discussion. ~Athena

Unfortunately, this problem is a lot more common than it should be. Quality control in the printing of English language Pokémon cards is pretty lax, and many packs are sold containing cards that are scratched, miscut, or have other errors. It's been that way more or less since the beginning of the BW set. It's one of the main reasons that I switched to collecting Japanese cards, since the print quality is much nicer.

Thanks for this news! Sad to hear but good to know at the same time! Appreciate the help and thanks for moving it too :) Appreciate it
