Pokemon Question about Shaymin....

I know Pokemon like Deoxys and Castform have different "formes" but the Sky forme of Shaymin looks nothing like the ground forme.The sky forme looks to me like it should be the evolution instead of another forme.Am I right here or do I have no clue what im talking about? lol

but yet besides dexoys this is the only other pokemon who has had different formes so maybe we really dont know what to expect out of different formes of pokemon

It does seem more like an evolution, but Legendary Pokemon aren't allowed to have evolutions. That's why it's got a different forme instead.

Well put really didn't think about that and when pokemon evolve they have better stats and ability's we don't know if these formes will change stats or abilities
 
He has a different type, which means his stats will most likely be different, otherwise, what would be the point in making a Sky Form? Look at Deoxys. Every form has different Base Stats and different move sets. Even the three forms of Wormadam do. However, there are POkemon like Burmy, Unown, Shellos, and Gastrodon who's different forms are purely asthetic (SP?) changes.

Well thats strange.Does that mean some Shaymin are born sky form and others ground or can they switch on demand? :/ well i guess it doesn't matter.If it's legendary then there is likely only one.

^ Shaymin can switch between it's formes. And there are more then one Shaymin.

how do you know there is more than one shaymin it is a legendary and some legends there aren't more than one

^ The front page of PokeBeach shows the final part of the 11th movie and in it there are a bunch of Shaymin.
Edit- It's not on the front page anymore since it was news from last month. But I did see it a few weeks ago and there were a bunch of Shaymin in a flower field.

Maybe they're ledendary because they're really really rare.

yea they are probably only found in a certain area or maybe in a different dimension

It does look more like an evolution, although its stat total will not change. Its stats will be in different, but the total will still be 600.

Shaymin doesn't exsist in another dimension.
