Hello, I am SuperDeoxys and i'm brand new to pokebeach and competetive play so go easy on me. This is also my first team i've posted on any website. So enough about that that let's get to the team. I read over Blue Thunder and AoH's rain teams and i've made a few different minor changes. Thank you two for such an awesome team!

Team Building
Politoed- Obviously, since this is OU, I needed toad to set up the rain. He work well with Latios because Latios covers his two weakness types. Remember that i'm new to this type of play so don't expect me to be an expert.

Latios- Next came the backup Special Sweeper. . His speed has been very helpful to making this team since Drizzle/Swift Swim has been banned. He also blocks annoying water attacks from enemies trying to abuse rain.

Rotom W- I needed a nice wall that can shoot and inflict some status. I asked my friend what he thought and he immediatly said Rotom wash. He works well with the next member of my team considering they have perfect defensive senergy. He also has helped me take down annoying ninetails and TTar trying to get their weather.

Scizor- This thing is a great Physical sweeper. He has great coverage against both of Latios's weakness's and perfect defensive types with rotom.

Gastrodon- At first I didn't think this would work. I wanted Quagsire over this but after seeing my friend kick butt with this slug, i took a look at it and found that he made a much better choice. He is great against the infamous thundurus and other electric types attacking politoed.

THUNDURUS- Finally the coup de grace and top special sweeper is thunurus. Unfortunatly I couldn't get the moveset quit right but it has still powned. Althought he is not as bulky as zapdos, his speed is what sold me. All my friends have "complained" about his power and i've just told them that they are just jealous.

The Team

Frogger (politoed) Choice Spec
Timid
4 hp/252 SpAtk/252 spe
Drizzle
Moves:
Scald
Psychic
Ice Beam
Focus Blast

Here is the weather set-up named after the famous video game character. He is the lead and the lead killer geting rid of every other weather lead except for other toads. I chose scald for STAB and burn chance. Ice beam is for Gliscors and dragons. Focus blast is for Abomasnow and Tyranitars. Psychic seems like a weird choice instead of hp grass but it is for the only curse that has ever afflicted me, toxicroak, just in case latios goes down.

Larry (latios) Life orb
Timid
levitate
Moves:
Dragon Pulse
Psyshock
Surf
Recover

I've had good times w/ the Lati twins since Gen lll, and the fact that latios is one of the two fastest dragons, it was safe to assume that he would be a great sweeper. I was right. Latios gets three STAB moves with surf in rain. Dragon Pulse is used over D Meteor because l dont want to constantly switch. Psyshock is for Blissey that try to wall me. Surf is again, basiclly a STAB move in rain. Recover is helpful because it not only recovers hp from attacks but also from the life orb. This dragon has been helpful to me for years.

HAZOP Red (Rotom W) Leftovers
Modest
252 hp/ 248 SpAtk/4 Spe
levitate
Hydro Pump
Pain Split
Thunder
Will-O-Wisp

This is my mixed wall and status inflicter. He is my main Ground type counter. Hydro Pump has 270 Bp in rain, which can't be ignored, plus his Sp. Atk. make it a prime sweeping move. Pain Split is it's only avaiaible recovery move, but it works and does a bit of damage in the process. WoW is it's best status move, breaking physical sweepers. Finally thunder has 100% accuracy in rain and is more powerful than TBolt and has better Par. chance. He has been a good heatran guard and just plain annoying.

ChromeShot (Scizor) Choice Band/ Life Orb
Adament
8 hp/ 252 Atk/ 248 Spe.
Technician
Moves:
Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Superpower
U-turn

ChromeShot has been quite succesful with me as a physical sweeper. BulletP gets priority and STAB, and type advantage against Tyranitars. Pursuit is for Lati twins, reuniclus, and Celebi trying to switch out. Super power is for Blissey, Ttar, and ferrothorn. U-turn was a hard choice to make, because my other option was SD. I finally chose u-turn because i'm not devoting enough EV's to HP so i wouldnt have enough time to set up. They speed Ev's (which i admit is a bit of an overkill) are for many things that are faster than scizor, but don't devote anything to speed so i can out run them. Please tell me if i should use Lo or Choice band.

Lord Slug (gastrodon) Leftovers
Modest
252 Hp/ 252 Def/ 4 SpAtk
Storm Drain
Moves:
Scald
IceBeam
Stockpile
Recover

This slug can wall like heck. He is the perfect thundurus counter (unless they have Grass Knot). Scald is for STAB and burn chance. Ice beam can kill Gliscor, dragons, and thundurus. I'm debating earth power for taking care of excadrill. Recover just helps it even further in being a wall and so does stockpile, in raising BOTH defenses. I chose modest, like AoH, because he can hit harder with it.

the Manager (thundurus) Life orb
Timid
8 hp/ 252 SpAtk/ 248 Spe/
Prankster
Moves:
Thunder
Grass Knot
Focus Blast
Nasty Plot/Thunder Wave

Here is the electric iceing on the raining cake. He is my main sweeper that does his job well. Thunder gets 100% accuracy in rain. Focus blast is for ferrothorn and Ttar (if for some reason i stay in). Unfortunatly, I couldn't get HP ice, which makes him not quite as usefull:headbang. I'm debating Thunder Wave or Nasty Plot. Either way, they get priority. I've been told nasty plot is better but i'm still perfectly open to suggestions. I knew the Manager would be my choice ove zapdos becuae of it's base 111 speed, although i'm gonna test out zapdos and see where it goes.

Thats it. Again, i'm new to competetive play, but i'd love you guys to rate this and give me some suggestions. I hope I do well in future teams!

The team looks solid, as do the movesets, but I have a few EV Suggestions:

Make Politoed a "Modest" Nature, so it can hit as hard as possible with Hydro Pump

I don't know what Latios's EVs are since they're not listed, but they should be 4 HP/252 SpAtt/252 Speed with a Timid nature. I would also try getting Calm Mind in here somewhere. Psyshock actually doesn't do as much as you might think to Blissey if Calm Mind isn't up.

Try 252 HP/168 Def/88 SPAtt with a Bold nature on Rotom. Rotom is generally a frail pokemon, and the extra defense is extremely useful in surviving physical hits from stuff like Infernape, so you can freely switch in, and then Pain Split to heal.

Scizor should be 248 HP and 8 Speed instead of the opposite. Scizor is slow, he doesn't need any speed unless he is using Baton pass or Choice Scarf.

I would shift the Defense EVs on Gastrodon to Special Defense. Gastrodon doens't really have enough Physical Defense to use Defense EVs effectively, plus, most of the attacks Gastrodon switches into (like Fire Blast) are special anyways. Scald has a 30% Burn Rate, so if you score a burn, that makes you a ton more physically defensive, but that's just a perk. Generally you'll want to run Special Defense EVs instead.

I don't see why you don't just run max speed EVs on Thundurus. Run 4 HP and 252 Speed, to make sure you outspeed base 110's like Gengar. I would also run Nasty Plot over Thunder Wave, since you should generally use it as a sweeper.
