Is there a way to make my A button smoothe again? When I tap it the A button does nothing and for it to attack now I have to press it a little harder or it will not work unless I press a little harder but tapping the button seems to not work as it used to be. Once and awhile it will but not always XD. Hope something good helps XD. I tried the L=A but did not like that idea and felt weird XD. Thanks.:)

It's not sticky, it's dull. It happens when you press the A button a lot over a long-ish period of time. You have three choices: live with it, pay to get the hard drive replaced by sending it to Nintendo which is about $70, or buy a new DS.

$70.00 just to fix the button??? I guess I will have to live with it until I can get a new DS. Great. Are you sure there is nothing else like using a drop of Alchol on a knleenex and wiping it gently? Do you think that would work or no? Thanks XD.:)

^If you use an adhesive It might loosen the inertia of the button(but be careful you could damage the hardware if it were to seep through, use a cloth or Q-Tip),But will only be temporary,It WILL NOT be a permanent fix. That or if you tap it more often it will loosen up or at least that is what fixed my old DS' Malfunctioning R Button and it might work for you.

EDIT:You would think nintendo would give you a free Ds or at least a free fix after paying nearly $200 for a system that gets a new upgrade every two years.(3DS>>XL>>DSI>>DS LITE>>DS)

Yeah I know. That stinks XD. I could carefully wipe the button ifself and see if it will work. Can't afford a new DS ATM XD.:) Anything else you guys have post here. Thanks.:) I guess if it dies completely I will use the L button but for other games it will be a real problem though XD.:) EDIT:

My A button is 95% back to normal now. A little very little drop of coffe got in between the button and the area where the button rests and seeped into that small gap. I blew very carefully into the gap and is almost back to normal now. I did not notice that until I saw some coffe spots near the button and wiped away the excess but a bit still seeped but is almost normal now XD.:)
