So, with the new opening theme being revealed today in Japan, so has some new info.
It's not a lot, but it's basically revealing Ash and Dawn's rosters for the League Conference and Grand Festival respectively.

It shows Ash's Monferno and Grotle evolving to Infernape and Torterra respectively.
On Dawn's side, she now has a Togekiss.

I cannot say how or when they get them, as it was revealed via the theme animation, but as they were released with their respective teams, it's a dead give away that they have been captured/evolved.

Feel free to discuss;
Theories
If it's good or bad
Your feelings about it period.

don't forget that how at the very end Ash had all of his old teams backing him up suggesting that he may actually swap out his team for the sinnoh league. this may be a little farfetched but Togekiss may be the same togetic that belonged to Misty seeing how it is third stage and it would be dumb to give dawn a new togepi then evolve it 2 stages in a few episodes *cough*Mamoswine*cough*.

I'm pretty sure all of Ash's old Pokemon were there as a representation of how far he's come as a Trainer (albeit not very).
Togekiss = Misty's Togetic doesn't seem like a good idea. Togetic stayed in the Illusion World or whatever it's called so it could protect the other Togepi(s? What's the plural?!). I doubt they'd bring it back just to give to Dawn. I think she'll find a random wild one and catch it, or it will be given to her. Or maybe the Togepi from about 20 some episodes earlier will return as a Togetic and join Dawn.

I'm glad to see his Monferno and Grotle will be evolving. I dislike it when he's left with a Pokémon in its middle stage (like Bayleef), though I understand why not all of them are destined to evolve, and that it's okay that some don't. I guess I'm neutral on Togekiss, though it'll be nice to have some pose references from the episodes it's in. xP

The opening itself was awesome, though. Being a huge fan of Legendaries, an opening full of each Legendary was definitely a treat... Especially the part with Arceus and its creations. xD

I have to agree with you on this one. I love arceus and he just looks amazig. As for the end, Im glad to see shiny noctowl again. It was my favorite pokemon that ash got.

Yeah. Arceus looked amazing in the opening. I can't compare to the movie, as I'm probably the only person on these forums to have not seen it yet XD.

The song is pretty catchy too. But it irks me that they skipped a few legends (including Raikou, my favorite).

I'm looking forward to see ash fight with with actually good pokemon. I wish he had a garchomp though. His infernape better be a nasty mixape with HP electric. Also, I hate to ask this, but where can I find the intro video?

*edit* Mixape was a joke

Youtube.

Also, Mixape with Elec-HP >> I HIGHLY doubt that. The anime never has competitive play movesets on any pokemon. It's always powerful or showy moves. Nothing strategic in the least.

Maybe they're just doing stuff ahead of time so they wouldn't have to update the opening so many times. Remember what happened to Ambipom in High Touch...

This might mean something like:

Grotle evolves the last episode this opening is used.
Monferno evolves the last episode this opening is used.
Togekiss is obtained the last episode this opening is used.

My opinion is that the song sucks but the animation is nice and overall it's a good opening if you mute it. (it was really less singing and more...screeching)

I know, how does Ash expect Gible to do good in the Sinnoh Conference If it hasn't evolved into a Gabite or Garchomp yet? He's probably gonna Oak it for something else like Snorlax or one of his other reserves. As for Ash's roster for the Pokemon League in Sinnoh:

* Torterra - Might be best for him If he utilizes it correctly and gives it a solid movepool without copying
from Paul's Torterra too much.
* Infernape - Monferno needed to evolve, plus it'll be a huge asset for Ash in his upcoming battles due to
it's sheer speed and agility.
* Buizel - It never evolved yet it's still in his team afterall, can someone explain to me why Ash decided
to keep it in?
* Staraptor - Solid, hopefully it'll do great.
* Gible - Doesn't make any sense really.
* Pikachu - Self explainatory...

Where was Charizard or Primeape in the opening? Heck Ash's Primeape's been on hiatus since I don't know when. I still don't get how Dawn managed to get ahold of a Togetic which evolves into Togekiss, that just seems pretty random. She also has a Cyndaquil unless she got it from Ash.

I said:
Conway in the Pokémon League...
SOUNDS AWESOME!

Can't wait to see Barry competing in the League as well.
I really want a Barry-Paul battle (possibly with Barry emerging as the victor)...
You know, 'cause it would be...
AWESOME~ (just like this opening~)

*sings along*

...I was surprised to see Ursula(?) in the Grand Festival-shot. That's nice, I guess. :3

Yes, I am too bored to write a new post, so I just quoted myself on another forum.

If you pay attention to the Japanese, she got one a few months ago when HGSS came out in Japan...

Charizard/Primeape not being in the opening must mean he's not using them. Primeape has better things to do (and isn't in the same situation as Charizard/Squirtle), Charizard bails him out too much.

That said, I was disappointed to not see Swellow and a few select others in the league part of the opening. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pokemon that appeared there are what he'll be using - since not even close to everything appeared, and several notable members are absent.

Nice to see Muk getting some battling in - I'm fairly sure his last fight was in the Indigo League. Sad to see Kingler not getting the same treatement, though...

When I saw the opening on Youtube, I wasn't happy with the song. It sounded kind of boring, but the video was great!
It was great to see some of Ash's old Pokemon again and also the legendaries.

Also Arceus was in the video O.O YES! Which makes the video even more great!

Arceus looked alot like the Unicorn from the Tristar Motion Picture Openings which was really awkward, even more awkward with Joe Swanson from Family Guy pulling the Tristar Unicorn opener as well.

I think that it's Cynthia's...or it could also be the one from The Worst Togepi in History/Where No Togepi has Gone Before!

What can we see what Ash has:
Shiny Noctowl, Staraptor, Bayleef, Donphan, Pikachu, Glalie, Snorlax, Torterra, Muk, Kingler, Cyndaquil (HIS one), Corphish, Gible, Buizel, Infernape.

Edit: I got them from adnizOfficial's Youtube page.
If you can't get Youtube...or have Dial Up, I'll gladly get screen shots.

Its good to see Ash's old Pokemon again. It seems like Ash will be using his old Pokemon as well as his current Pokemon in the Sinnoh League.

^I think it's only for the PK thon arc...Coz this weeks (jp) episode has a Snorlax in it....which I think it his one...unless May comes back w/Munchy evo'd.

Or, ya know, it could belong to a random character. Snorlax =/= Ash's Snorlax or May's Munchlax.
