Trees crashed behind Kevin as he hustled towards the mesh iron gate. It gleamed with such a ferocious silver in the moonlight that it was noticeable from the far side of the Lost tower. The brown dirt road exploded behind him as he quickly looked back. His Blaziken jumped through a few trees, and guarded Kevin from the beast behind him.

"Tyranitar, Flamethrower", someone screamed

Red matter destroyed everything in sight, it was like a nuclear blast from the heavens. Spews of heat set trees a bright orange colour, and soon enough the whole area was ablaze. Kevin finally reached the gate. He grasped with all his might, but could not break the lock.

"Infernape, fire punch!" Kevin yelled

The lock snapped like a twig, and the duo set off toward Solaceon town. A pursuit was in place. Now, quicker than the Tyranitar, a Weavile roughly the size of a human child appeared roughly out of the darkness, in front of Kevin and his Blaziken. There was nowhere else to turn...

"Gah! Ergh..." Kevin struggled to keep his composure

"Weavile, Shadow Claw!" A man with a black suit said pugnaciously

The Weavile targetted Kevin. Quicker than ever, Blaziken disappeared.
The Weavile's claws shone like an ocean in a sunset, and it charged. Blaziken appeared out of thin air, and grabbed the Weavile's arm. gripping tighly, he extended his arm into the air, threw up the Weavile, and hit a Blaze kick. The combo was incredible. As the Weavile flew 6 feet into the air, Blaziken jumped, and the Weavile flew into an Oak tree, knocked out.

Blaziken turned to face Tyranitar, a more inimate threat.

ROARRRRR! Tyranitar viciously screamed and positioned its body to use Hyper Beam. Blaziken focused. It had already been in this position before, fighting something over five times his size. As the Hyper beam spewed out of the gargantuan Pokemon's mouth, Blaziken dashed toward it. The magnificent flash of light exploded into the midnight sky, releasing tons of angelic particles, almost as if the stars had surrounded the airwaves. Blaziken jumped into the beam. The Tyranitar continued to spew, obviously on a rampage.

Out of nowhere, Blaziken jumped from the beam into the Tyranitar's face. Nothing but determination covered the Blazikens fearless look. His eyes shone an audacious blue color, almost like the sky after being reflected off of the ocean. The Blaziken took his arm, and raised it diagonally over his head. The Blaziken's arm began to spark like lightning, only full of fire. Blaziken then targetted Tyranitar's vital point in its neck, and sliced with the ferocity of a warrior. The Tyranitar turned pale, and crashed into a few small trees.

Blaziken landed, one knee up, one knee down. He had completed his mission. Kevin yelled from a distance.

"Blaziken! Hurry!"

Chapter 2: Reminiscence

Solaceon town. A quaint, midwestern town. Saloons filled the streets, drunken men arguing, aaah. Like something out of a movie, Kevin thought. His Blaziken walked beside him, towering over him. Kevin wasn't normal kids. For his age (15) he was only 5'2, usually being called shrimp, or short stuff. Kevin didn't mind usually. The mess at the Lost tower wasn't his fault, either. The day he decided to become a Pokemon trainer was his 15th birthday, about 2 months ago. Kevin never had a true interest in Pokemon, until he discovered a Torchic near his town's lake in Twinleaf. Surprisingly, Kevin didn't even have to attack it to capture it.

The Torchic ran to him, and he observed it. Putting 2 and 2 together, kevin took the Torchic home, and this is when he decided to become a trainer. In less than a month the Torchic was a Blaziken, and The Blaziken was Kevin's. Now normally, a Pokemon takes at least 6 months to gain enough experience to evolve once, but in a short month, Kevin had a Blaziken. This is when he speculated the fact that he could have a special connection with pokemon. He confirmed this when he controlled his Blaziken with his mind, his first battle against a Galactic follower. Kevin closed his eyes, and saw through Blaziken's. When he raised his arms, Blaziken did the same manuever.

When Kevin wanted to use a special attack, he simply whispered the move, and used it. This is why his Blaziken was so dangerous, this is why he could not let anyone know that he had this special power. If anyone was to find out, he would be covetted by many people, including the Rocket head administrators, and the Galactic boss, Cyrus.

Kevin entered the local market and picked up some Ramen. It was early in the morning, but he was starving, and to be honest, a bit tired from the long battles before. He took a nap, and awoke to his PDA ringing loudly. "Hello? Kevin questioned"

"Kevin. This is the professor. Your trade went through, please meet..." The professor said calmly

"Trade?" Kevin questioned

"Yes, remember? Your Pinsir for his Kabutops!" The professor said quaintly

"Aaah, excellent. I'll be there in no time" Kevin exclaimed

A Kabutops was something that Kevin always wanted. Not only was it Primal pokemon, but Kabutops had some sort of qualities that Kevin enjoyed. Fossils were vicious, almost like pitbulls on leashes. If you let them go, something was going to get destroyed. It was fossil instinct. Kevin had a Pinsir before, but the gripping pokemon didn't have the work ethic that Kevin needed to have an elite force. It slacked off during drills. Yes! Kevin worked his Pokemon to unleash their true colours.
