Hello. I have two teams ready for the Vgc 2012, and I decided to post them here to read the advice and ratings.

Team 1-
Ferrothorn @ rocky helmet
Impish nature; 252 def, 252 spD (iron barbs)
-Aerial Ace
-Gyro Ball
-Ingrain
-Stealth Rock
This Pokemon is used to tank, due to its massive defensive stats. The combination of Iron Barbs and Rocky helmet takes a toll on physical attackers. This combination also works amazingly well with unsuspecting opponents who use mulitple hit attacks. It works fairly well with Scrafty as well. The reason these two work well together is because they are mixed bulk attackers Stealth rock and ingrain are simply for killing foes and keeping Ferrothorn alive, while Aerial ace and gyro ball are reliable attacks.

Scrafty @ big root
Careful 100 atk, 156 def. 252 spD (moxie)
-Bulk up
-Drain punch
-Rock Slide
-Crunch
Scrafty is a good balance with Ferrothorn. Along with its' strong defenses, Scrafty packs a punch. After a bulk up, scrafty has a rather easy time koing certain threats, such as flying types, and then moxie just boosts it up some more. The fighting weakness is somewhat covered with Ferrothorns aerial ace, and drain punch with a big root can heal a ton, especially after a bulk up. Overall, Scrafty is the core in this team, allowing it to pull forward.

Jellicent @ deepseascale
Calm; 252 spD 156 def, 100 SpA (water absorb)
Scald
Recover
Toxic
Shadow Ball
This pokemon is a pseudo-blissey, used for the sole purpose of a special wall because I was unable to use my Blissey for 2011 Vgc. Scald is used like a damaging will o wisp, damaging while putting physical attackers down. Shadow ball is another stab attack. Recover and toxic are there to fill its role of blissey. That is all to be said about Jellicent.

Braviary @ Rock Gem
Jolly; 252 atk, 252 spd (sheer Force)
superpower
rock slide
brave bird
u-turn
Braviary is the main physical attacker on this team. It has a wide variety of moves, all aimed on taking an opponent down. The reason for the rock gem is for a strong attack with increased damage on both opponents, and would mostly be used for taking down threats such as volcarona. brave bird is a powerful stab. Superpower and u- turn can work together, switching out after superpower wears down its' stats.

Eelectross @ expert belt
Naughty, 252 atk, 252 Satk (levitate)
Brick Break
Dragon Claw
Wild Charge
Flamethrower
Eelectross is a powerhouse mixed attacker. Like Braviary, It has a strong variety of moves, from brick break to flamethrower. There is not much to be said about Eelectross, besides the fact that it can hit most types for supereffective damage. That is what the expert belt is for. The Expert belt, as you all know, powers up super effective moves, so It is a good match with this eelectross.

Lilligant @ life orb
Timid 252 Satk, 252 spd (own Tempo)
Giga Drain
Quiver Dance
Petal Dance
Hidden power Bug
Lilligant is designed to take down pokemon, and take them down fast. after a few Quiver Dances, Lilligant can petal dance sleep to its heart's content, since own tempo blocks confusion. The life orb also helps deal damage. Giga drain is obviously used to heal. I was trying for hidden power Ice, but after a few days and a bunch of eggs I had to settle for bug.

Team 2-

Ferrothorn @ rocky helmet
Impish nature; 252 def, 252 spD (Iron Barbs)
-Aerial Ace
-Gyro Ball
-Ingrain
-Stealth Rock

Scrafty @ big root
Careful 100 atk, 156 def. 252 spD (moxie)

-Crunch
Scrafty is a good balance with Ferrothorn. Along with its' strong defenses, Scrafty packs a punch. The fighting weakness is somewhat covered with Ferrothorns aerial ace, and drain punch with a big root can heal a ton, especially after a bulk up. Overall, Scrafty is the core in this team, allowing it to pull forward.

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Jolly; 252 HP, 44 Atk, 212 spd (multiscale)
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire Punch
Roost
Dragonite is the key to this team full of bulk. Multiscale, combined with roost, leads for a tough dragon. With a dragon dance boosted dragon claw and fire punch, Dragonite is a force to be reckoned with. Fire punch is used to hit bulky grass and steel types. Yes I am looking at ferrothorn. The leftovers also help keep dragonite's hp up.

Blissey @focus band
calm; 252 hp, 252 spD, 4 def (natural cure)
Toxic
Double Team
Softboiled
seismic toss
Classic blissey. Out lasting opponents with the toxic / double team annoyer combo, along with seismic toss for damage. This can last to most special attackers, at least a few hits. Softboiled is a good healing move as well. This ensures that Blissey stays alive.

Lucario @ life orb
Rash; 252 Satk, 252 spd (steadfast)
Aura Sphere
Dark pulse
Psychic
Dragon pulse
Lucario is THE special attacker. with about 13 out of 17 types super effected, lucario is beast. It is fairly strong, and with the life orb, lucario can 2hko some pokemon. What it lacks in defense can easily be covered by its' teammates. That is all I have to say about Lucario.

Chandelure @ fire gem
Timid; 252 Satk, 252 spd (flash fire)
Heat Wave
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball
Protect
Finally, to balance out this team is Chandelure. Like lucario, chandelure is a fragile bag of awesomeness. What it doesnt have in defense is made up with FIREpower (pun). Heat wave, shadow ball, and energy ball are good attacks to deal damage to a bunch of opponents. Protect, on the other hand, keeps Chandelure alive.

these are the two teams I have to choose from. Please rate and all that good stuff.

I think your second team is pretty solid. For Chandelure, I would recommend scarfing it instead of a Fire Gem, since Lucario can already deal massive amounts of damage with Life Orb. Also, you can get a surprise KO on a Latios. Another change would be on the Ferrothorn, switching Stealth Rocks to Power Whip, as there are many trainers out there who use Rain teams. Scrafty definitely needs Fake Out-- it's essential for ALL teams, in my opinion, (although I do love that set :D). Lucario is pretty good, except maybe teach it Protect instead of Dragon Pulse.

One thing that you need to know is that stalling isn't that effective in VGC, so your Blissey/Jellicent should have their sets changed. Plus, their items are kind of strange >_> because Deepseascale doesn't do anything at all, and Focus Band is very iffy, so try using Lefties instead.

Now to your first team. I find this team rather... slow. If you want, switch Jellicent's Toxic with Trick Room. Or if you don't like Trick Room teams, switch Braviary's U-turn with Tailwind. For Braviary, give it a Life Orb, as there won't be any Life Orb damage for Brave Bird (because of Sheer Force), giving it a massive 239 Base Power, and with STAB, 359 Base Power. Since Braviary has Life Orb, Lilligant needs an item. So.... try, like, Persim Berry. Yeah.

Dragonite's moveset is solid, in my opinion. Just make sure its partner is Chandelure when your opponent has Latios, since even with Multiscale, Dragonite can't take a Dragon Gem Draco Meteor. If you're feeling awesome, change Jellicent's item to a Choice Scarf, and make it a SWEEPER. A 100% HP Water Spout can pack quite a punch.

Well, I hope this helps. Best of luck to you in the VGC-- I might be seeing you there :D

Team 2 review:

Ferrothorn: Stealth rock is pointless in VGC, switching is super risky on most teams. Leech seed would be better, Aerial Ace is too weak. And If your ingrained, Ferrothorn would be destroyed by a Chandelure switching in after you ingrain. Not really sure what could replace it.
Blissey: minimize> Double Team. Need I say more?? Blissey can have something better than Focus Sash, She can take a lot of sp atks, but it might be good for hitmoptop and terrakion. Maybe BrightPowder just to troll and get +70 evasion if you can finish setting up.
Dragonite: Dragonite is pretty good. No real complaints here. Might want Brick Break for T-tar and Excadrill, but fire punch is good for excadrill unless its paired with Chandelure.
Scrafty: No speed on scrafty gets rid of Rock Slide's selling point, and not too many flying types. Might want Payback> Rockslide. Then switch Crunch to Fake Out, since you now have Payback. (breed With Mienshao for Drain Punch+Fake Out). Shell Bell might be better than Big Root, But you might wanna test it first.
Lucario: You need a better counter to Hitmontop. It could Close Combat lucario if it lives psychic (since its sp defensive-ish, Its not impossible) Unless its on first turn, but he could just fake out even though you've got Steadfast. Might want Inner focus but their both good.I've got A lucario on a single battle team similar to yours but with Hidden Power rock and choice specs. Works wonders on Volcarona even when its not max power.
Chandelure is pretty great. But psychic would be be better over protectn unless he REALLY needs it. Psychic is to counter hitmoptop. Hitmotop is super annoying, your going to want to counter it. 1st turn at best since he cant flinch it.
These are all just suggestions, And I think they could help you a lot in the long run.

Yes, I agree with Luxray on a lot of things... in fact, everything he (she?) said. Although, I wouldn't reccommend using Shell Bell in a VGC battle for Scrafty. Possibly Chople Berry for the numerous Fighting type Pokemon, like Hitmontop, Conkeldurr, etc.

Have you ever been to a VGC or have done many double battles? It seems to me that your movesets are more like movesets for single battles... For example, those Stealth Rocks, and stalling.

Try look up some YouTube battles and see what most teams are like. I can name a lot of counters for your team (2) off the top of my head... Hitmontop, Latios (if you're not running Choice Scarf for Chandelure), Zapdos, Politoed/Ludicolo combination, Rotom Wash possibly, Metagross with Occa, and maybe others. I'm sure you'll find a good team for the VGC if you learn the basics of double battling. It's kinda late, so.. YEAH.

BYE!! :3
