Volcanion EX is one of my favorite decks, and I thought I would come up with a list for post rotation. Here is the deck list.

Pokemon: 12

2 Turtonator GX
3 Volcanion EX
1 Staryu
1 Starmie
2 Tapu Lele GX
2 Volcanion
1 Ho Oh GX

Trainers: 34

Items
2 Float Stone
4 Ultra Ball
2 Field Blower
1 Rescue Stretcher
2 Choice Band
1 Fighting Fury Belt
4 Max Elixir
1 Switch

Supporters
4 Professor Sycamore
4 N
1 Kiawe
3 Guzma
2 Lillie

Stadiums
3 Brooklet Hill

Energy: 14

14 Fire Energy

I have not tried this deck out a couple of times, and had a lot of success. There are some changes I would like to make, but haven't found space to fit them in. I would like to run a 2-2 Starmie line to up the consistency of the deck. I would also like to run another Kiawe because it works really well with the deck on your first turn, or later in the game if you need to accelerate energy. The last change I would like to make is adding a 3rd Volcanion because it is such a good card with this deck. I know I am trying to make 4 card changes, but if I can't get them all I like to at least fit 2 of my changes in. Any feedback is appreciated.

Not sure if you need two Lillie, as you have other draw support N and Sycamore. Lillie is great turn one but otherwise I don't believe is used in most decks. Similarly 2 Brooklet Hill may be good enough....hopefully you draw a Volcanion and then stadium one out.

. Kiawe is great but unless it's turn one not sure if you should sacrifice attack for energy attachment. Plus with max elixir and baby volcanion and even Turtonator gx you have a lot of opportunity to accelerate energy. I don't play Kiawe in My Volcanion deck build so I'm not fully sure how many Kiawe people are playing....but I think it's a big risk to attach up to 4 energy and not attack while leaving your energy rich pokemon exposed to being attacked by Espeon-gx, Gardevoir-gx or to a lesser extent Tapu Lele.

Love fighting fury belt but with the number of field blowers it doesn't stick around for too long...especially when you really need it for the extra hp.

Im no expert but hope this helps.

I have playtested a lot of post rotation with multiple decks, and have found that 10 draw supporters is the prefect number without VS Seeker. Lillie is the best draw supporter for this deck other than N and Professor Sycamore because you can thin your hand really easily with Steam Up. I agree that it is a waste of time to Kiawe onto your active pokemon. If it's not my first turn and I use Kiawe I throw something up to take a hit, and Kiawe onto a bench pokemon. If I have nothing that won't get OHKO'ed I'll typically just throw up a non EX or GX pokemon and make my opponent play the 7 card prize game. I think knowing when to play your Kiawe comes with experience, and knowledge of your deck. The whole point of Brooklet Hill is to get it out early so running 3+ is a staple in Volcanion EX decks. I agree that with every deck basically running 2 Field Blower Fighting Fury Belt is worse, and I may switch that for a Choice Band or a 3rd Volcanion. It has come in handy quite a lot of situations though because if they have dug fairly deep and dropped the Field Blowers Fighting Fury Belt becomes insane. Even if they have dropped 1 Field Blower finding the other 1 in let's say a 30 card deck is difficult. Especially if N is useless. Thanks for the suggestions.

Have you tested Sophocles yet? I prefer using that Supporter over Lillie. My card-draw engine consists of 3 N (IMO, 4 is excessive; and at some point, "too" helpful to my opponent), 4 Professor Sycamore and 2 Sophocles. This "engine" works well for me.

I have actually wondered about that, but I haven't tested with it. Because I need to discard Fire Energy anyways Sophocles may be better, but also if I have some Fire Energy in my hand, and have Volcanion EX's down I would Steam Up anyways. That's the reason why I run Lillie now is because I can thin my hand by Steaming Up the Fire Energies. I still want to try Sophocles though because if I had 3 cards in hand, and I play Lillie I would draw 4. You don't have to discard with Lillie though, and if you have a good hand you may rather have Lillie.
