X / Y OU (needs help)

This would be in the RMT spot, however I need some help completing this team.

I have a few Pokemon I would like to use. However, I cannot seem to keep all my Pokemon alive through out a match, always seemingly countered by something else which ends up sweeping my singles teams.

On to the Pokemon I want to use!

Greninja @ Life Orb

Ability: Protean

Timid Nature

252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 HP

Surf
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse
Extrasensory

This would be my Special Sweeper. Fast. Reliable. Also has no trouble sweeping...if I can get him to stay alive that is. However I know that Greninja isnt invincible, I just want to use him. I can't seem to find synergy with this team. So naturally I'm struggling to keep him and anyone else alive.

Slowking @ Leftovers

Ability: Regenerator

Calm Nature

252 HP / 200 Def / 54 SpDef

Scald
Slack Off
Psychic
Dragon Tail / Ice Beam / Flamethrower

My Mixed Wall, and I'm Adamant about keeping him. (See what I did there?) In gen 5, I had much success with Slowking, which is why I really don't want to remove him since I know how to play him. He is designed as a wall, but can also be a phaser when I need him to be. He can dish out a burn, take out Fighting threats, and can tank a variety of Pokemon using his bulk.

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy

Ability: Stance Change

Adamant Nature

252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpDef

Swords Dance
Shadow Sneak
Sacred Sword
Kings Shield

Maybe I just play him wrong, but whenever I try to hit hard with Sacred Sword, I just die since its not Priority. I don't know, but this is my Physical Sweeper. Swords Dance under cover (shield form) then Sweep (attack form). Maybe someone can give me an in depth way to play Aegislash and find Pokemon that work with him.

As you can see this team is far from done, and I'm getting frustrated quite quickly at the fact that I cannot seem to win the majority of the time. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

RE: X/Y OU (needs help)

Okay, so you have three Pokémon you'd prefer using, one of which you will keep no matter what. Sounds like a good start.

The trio you have right here is pretty weak to Rotom-W, I'll tell you that. Greninja can't really switch into it at all, Slowking is weak to Volt Switch and can't match it for momentum, and Aegislash tends to lose the mindgames Rotom-W plays with it - King's Shield doesn't block Will-o-Wisp, for example.

I'd suggest reading into the Aegislash Discussion Thread here for the community's thoughts on it. There was talk of cores, potential partners, each set's viability, etc. This should help you understand what direction you want to take.

To deal with Rotom-W, I'd suggest using AV Excadrill, a bulky spinner that can tank a Hydro Pump and OHKO just about every Rotom-W back. I described the set here.

That's all I've got time for tonight, so I can come back later. Hope this helps you!
