airsoft bb question

i was on the forums and i needed an answer so i came here to ask. do .12 bb's work with a double eagle M85 (http://www.amazon.com/Double-Eagle-Airsoft-Electric-LOADED/dp/B000OR772I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1224415157&sr=8-1) link, when it comes with .6 bb's?
 
I'm no expert on this but the smaller BB will certainly fire out of the gun but its accuracy and initial speed out of the barrel will be severely lower the BB of the proper caliber.
