Yes, the Shaman King fanatic is back once again with a Miscellaneous thread, and yes, its about anime.  Many people think Naruto is number one, others (a select few) think Shaman King is number one.  There is also, among others, One Piece, Yu-Yu-Hakusho, Bleach, etc.  I am asking two questions in this thread:  1.  What is your favorite anime/manga.  2.  Have you seen the alternate (if you love the anime, have you read the manga, and visa-versa) version of your favorite anime/manga, and if so, which is better?

Um, what's the difference.

I liked DBZ and DB, and Yu-Yu-Hakusho (pity I only got to see the first couple of seasons-if even that much).

I liked DBZ better.

You don't need to watch them.  You can read them, too.

Anyway, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Naruto (Hatake Kakashi is the best)...and Shaman King is right behind it.  Not too many people, sadly, like Shaman King. T_T  But we deal.  Right, T.N.ShamanKing?

I personally like the manga better than the anime (in any case, whether it be Naruto or Shaman King) because they seem to really mess up the story sometiems.  One Piece was RUINED by the anime. (4Kids...grrrrr...:()  COMPLETELY RUINED.

That's why I stopped watching it.  It got REALLY slow.  Maybe the manga's like that?

But in any case, the manga rocks my socks. :p

So true, T.A.D.F., so true. WE DEAL! (my psychayatrist sees me next week) The difference is that the manga is the original and the story sometimes differs slightly. The anime sticks in stupid "filler episodes" and the voice acting on the English ones usually suck.

I love Naruto!!! XD  But the manga is a lot better.

No, I heard the Bleach Anime did not ruin bleach, but, was in fact, quite good. Yes, Naruto is good as well, and yes the Anime ruined it for us manga fans, but, alas, Shaman King is better. Shaman King has this deep meaning and philosiphy about it, whereas Naruto is just hate:

"I don't like you, you creepy snake guy"
"I don't like you either *hisssssss*"

"You ate my shuriken! Now you've really done it!!!"

I do like Naruto though:p (I just like Shaman King and Bleach better!)

Hahahahahaha!!!! XD I guess that's partially true, NextShamanKing.  And I do agree that Shaman King has a moral and a lesson to teach (..wait, that's the same thing) but so does Naruto...if you scratch under the serface dirt there...*scritch scritch scritch...*

Yes, they are quite dirty...I need to be sterilized...

Listening to Japanese music right now...."hageshiku chi narase yo STOMPING"..."Violent energy rings stomping"...can you guess what it's from? ^_^ Naruto....ok, I guess it is a little violent....

And it's more like "DATTEBAYO!!!!!!!" (which, at the moment, I have found no definition for.) if you want to stay true to the Japanese version.

Wow. Have we gotten off topic. Anyway, I have read Hikaru-No-Go in monthly Shonen Jump, but have not seen the anime. Does anyone know if it is any good.

I have many faves. My most definet favorite manga is Blade of the Immortal. There's no anime of it to compare, but it's my fave.

My next fave is FMA. I like the anime over manga. Manga is cooler to look at but I like the story in the anime.

Tsubasa: Saw a couple of the anime episodes and hated it! Manga is better!!!

And then there's Inu-Yasha (the soap anime :p, but I like it anyway. Have the manga too). Naruto (stopped waching after 50th episode or so and stopped buying manga in fifth book. It's cool though). Love Hina (manga over anime anytime!!!).

I have more manga than anime cause anime is a bit hard to get here where I live. There are like 10 other series on my shelves on top of the ones I mentioned.
