I heard this on the news tonight. If you have an email or any Passwords saved to your login to be sure and change them as soon as you can as they have stolen over 70million email addresses and possibly passwords also and they are currently rebuilding the network and probably will be a week before part of it is back online or even possibly longer before it is fully functional again. Prepare to change your email address also since you might be at risk. I prey for everyone's safety and hope none of you guys were affected email or password wise. Right now Nintendo's is actually the safest network since it runs soley on friend codes rather than passwords or email address. FC's are much safer and no one will be affected since there is really nothing to steal. If you have a password there is always a chance of it being hacked. Anyway hope you guys get online soon.:)

Thumbs up if you own a Wii instead of a PS3!

I don't own a PS3; but I personally find it rather amusing to watch this battle from the side-line. Finally a real war on the PS3 instead of that cheap Call of Duty nonsense.

I only connected to psn once and bought nothing ever..so I don't think anythings connected..and I don't even think I have a real account on there..I just browsed the psn store. if that's the case am I fine information wise (since I didnt put anything in)?

Pokequaza, don't go there. I, and others, don't want a silly console war to start. And I find it silly that you associate CoD with PS3 when it's on every system... :/

I am kind of furious at how long it's taking, especially because they blacked out on Easter weekend, where lots of people would have time to play. Of course, Sony isn't fully to blame, but a system we give our credit card information to should have some pretty darn good security.

I am hopeful that they find whoever did this and punish them. And hopefully, any credit card information that was stolen can be fixed. And they are fixing their security as we speak (at least they better be...) so this won't happen anytime in the near future.

I'm glad anonymous didn't do it i like them but who ever did this should (not for children) sorry about that and I just hope they get it fixed soon so glad I didn't buy that psp I wanted threw.

Actually you make a good point there. It is sad but really do you think that PS3 Users should be required to use their email or a password let alone? There should be something similar to the friend code system but a different number system instead. I back you on this. All we can do is watch from the sidelines and hope nothing has happened to anyone here. Anyone who uses the same code here as the PS3 should be changing your password now because now that your account has been hacked they certainly know your password here now. Before you are hacked here you should change your password. No one uses the same password twice. If you are one of those that d you are setting yourselves up for bans or even fraud.:(

Well call them in the morning and tell them to hold it so you can buy it back.:)

Don't worry it was sarcasm. Well, partly.. since I have never been a big fan of first-person shooters.

Luckily I don't have any credit card details on psn. Also I put fake details on my account such as; I live in zimbabwe, my name is chicken nugget and I'm 66 years old :)

I just got a PSP this last Christmas and put all my info in. .-.

Like may have said though, millions of members, I have nothing, nor have bought anything... So why would I be targeted specifically y'know?

That's the thing about online buying. In the wrong hands like with any credit card your records can be messed with even if you are not old enough yet. I have heard of babies with credit card fraud only because someone stole the kids identity and furthermore that stays on the record for 7&1/2 years XD.:)

UPDATE on the PSN Hacked Situation: The PSN will be active again next week with ALL PSN Users getting a welcome back gift, including:

30 Days Free of Playstation Plus
30 Days Free Music Unlimited Qriocity
A Free Game (I think for PS3 Users only though, not sure)

Only issue, the Playstation Store will not be up though next week
