Ruling Are the LX promo cards legal in a pokemon tcg leauge

I have 2 empoleon LXs and would like to bulid a deck around them, but there promos and I heard someone say they are not legal.
 
Well whoever told you that is completley wrong. Promo Lv.Xs are legal in Leage AND tournament play. Their only difference is their art.

There wasn't an empoleon Lv. X in one of the champion decks, was there? If so, it would not be legal. So if your card has the standard back and no signature on it, it is completely legal for play.

Also, any Black star promos from 41-on I think are tourney legal, as well as POP 6 cards and on.
 
The black star promos that are legal are those with number DP01 or higher (yeah, they reset the numbering system AND the tournament legality), as well as POP 6 and up, in addition to DP-on.

The tin promos that are out now are all DP__, so yes, they're legal. Unless they are World Championship cards, in which case they wouldn't be. Unless it's known beforehand that you have them, you run your deck in sleeves, and the league leader allows it.
