Blaziken isn't all that special. Most the people on here vote irrelevantly, so I'm not going to leave it up to the polls.

Also, if you have Wi-Fi, I could battle you later; with a whole competitive team. 6 on 6, no ubers, ect.

Well I would gladly accept your challenge but right now I have A challenge of my own. Trying to find my wifi. When I find it I will battle you. But I dont like thee rules. How bout this, 6 on 6, only one uber is aloud, single battle, no items.
 
Magnezone, you spelt Blaziken wrong in the thread. I've been waiting to post that for a while.

Bonsly: That doesn't really peak my interests. I've become too engrossed with competitive rules.

Actually, you were right as first. After you made me run through the math again, you proved Infernape would win 94% of the time, where the 6% is the critical hit probability of Blaziken's first attack. Infernape wins by a large margin, especially in utility.

The polls are rigged. Infernape would win against Blaziken almost all the time in competitive play. However, that's not what the majority of the people voting look at. They cast their vote based on who they believe would win, or who they prefer most.

Age plays a huge factor in this; certain age groups perceive the question as "Who do you think is cooler?" or "Who do you like better?" Kids that have grown up with Blaziken as the main fire Pokémon are still currently young, and have a hard time accepting Infernape's dominance. As you get older, you'll learn to "get over yourself" and go with the facts. For instance, I grew up with Venusaur being my favorite back in the day, as much as I don't enjoy knowing Torterra would beat it one on one, oh well. Fact is based off evidence, not hypothesizes.

Also, you can't go claiming who'd win based off the show. The main example that comes to mind is Ash's Gym battle with Brock; I'm sorry, but Thunder will never KO an Onix (even damage it at that). I also recall Paul's battle with Ash... right... a potentially level 100 Pikachu would end up tied with some level 10ish shrimp. :\
 
Thanks, I appreciate some good honesty and a veteran member attitude.

The polls are largely based on n00bs saying, "Ooo, I wiKe Blazkn!!." Plus, n00bs saying Blaziken is faster because they probably said it's fast in the anime. Granted, that was exaggerated, but that's what it boils down to. Both Infernape and Blaziken are good, in their own respects.

I'm surprised that Infernape would win 94% of the time. Thanks for clueing my in on the damage formula. ;)
 
The strongest thing each of them could throw at each other is Earthquake and Infernape would win 96% of the time. Plus, Infernape is better for destroying those pesky Ground and Water types with Grass Knot.
 
Oh, and I forgot, this is in the General Pokemon Discusion forum, not the Wi-Fi League, so yes, personal opinions and what was in the anime are valid.
 
Actually, I'd have to agree with Kevin. Blaziken could probably beat Infernape 1 on 1, but all around, Infernape is better. Sorry, PWS. :p
 
True, but EM did the battle calculations of a 1 on 1 match between the two, and Infernape wins 96% of the time. So the only room for debate here is which one you think looks cooler.

Yeah I agree. Blaziken can beat Infernape 1 on 1 but overall really isnt that great for competitive battles. But to me Blaziken looks much cooler.
 
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Blaziken disliker (To say it nicely.). On the contrary, I used to love Blaziken until Infernape came along. I'm always up for a new monkey Pokemon. ^^

Yeah. I would like Infernape if he didnt have that huge flame of fire on its head. Monferno looked so cool but they ruined Chimchar for me by making Infernape. I just dont like the way it looks lol.
 
Infernape for me was an acquired taste type of thing. I really liked Chimchar and Monferno, but I had to get used to Infernape. I really like it now though.

I also think Chimchar would look better without the dung looking thing on his head. And if they removed his fire tail he would have been sweet!
 
I like Chimchar as it is. I've always wanted to see a good monkey Pokemon. Primeape doesn't cut it and Aipom was pathetic. But, now, there is finally Infernape. Ambipom is also very good; Aipom needed that evolution badly.

Yeah Aipom did need Ambipom. I liked Aipom alot but it was kinda weak. Im gonna stop posting before I start spamming any more. No offense.
