Are they going to continue with primes and legends, or something completely new? What do you guys think?

Yeah, but bench only Xs sound just dumb, kinda. It is just level Xs in the reverse world, where every thing is opposite.
 
How about a super card that can attack from the Bench, but not Active? That would count as your attack for the turn.
 
It's been confirmed (in some news story) that Legends are continuing. It's almost safe to assume Primes are as well.

I have not heard of this news story. Please elaborate!

B/W will have something. I hope Primes continue, (Dmaster, shush! give me evidence first!) and I hope legends continue, but get better.
 
If they made low energy legends, that'd be great. I also like the idea of primes as a whole, but legends are kinda meh right now.
 
oh man. B&W will deff abuse legends and primes.
theres like 10 legends in B&W and a TON of crazy cool looking pokemon that would make it to prime versions.

There's about ten Legendaries released in Gen 5, minimidget. So there will probably be about nine or so Legend cards coming out if they release the same as this year.

OOOOHHH i thought you were talking about the first set. Yeah I assumed that much.
 
^Was Donphan not enought for you? We don't want almighty powerful cards, then this game will be more about who can set up fastest and donk all other Pokemon. This game is about strategy, not about winning or how fast and powerful your Pokemon are.
 
^who's we? however strong the pokemon is there has always been a way to counter it. (donphan gets KO'd in 1 hit from a kindra using Stream pump so long as you return a energy to your hand) I didnt mean I wanted impossible to beat primes cards just ones that are stronger and faster to do (any) dammage/special condtions
 
For right now, Primes are as fast and strong as they are going to get. "We" as in people in general. Chances are, you won't be playing Kingdra if your opponent plays Donphan. Donphan is good enough for now, as is Kingdra, low energy attacks and high HP. I don't think we need so many Pokemon like this, because then everyone will play a deck with a Prime in it, and then it's just going to be a "Who has the best Prime" contest.
 
Whats wrong with "who has the best prime contest"?

I want more low energy Primes and Pokemon cards in general. Since we KNOW that there will always be those few broken cards that have a one energy attack. Why not hope for more of those, so there can be a much greater variety of strong and fast Pokemon cards to choose from
 
Because, like I said before...if every Pokemon out there is strong and fast, then, technecally, they won't be anything. If every card is good, they won't be good. We already have enough low energy attackers. We don't need more. Was Kingdra, Jumpluff, Donphan, and Luxray not good enough? Do we just need a Pokemon with 300 HP and can do 100 to all Pokemon in play, and that move doesn't even require energy? That's what Pokemon will be like if we wish for almighty cards.
 
okay thats a little bit of an exaggeration. Were asking for some more low energy attackers like the ones you metioned, so that there is more variety.
