Crobat has more money than you

I pretty sure that LORDY means literal Constellations, like the stary things in the sky... He writes such entertaining articles.

Anyways after doing some testing, I have figured out that Crobat still give Machamp Prime problems, it is a lot easier to set up 2-3 Crobats than it is to do with Machamps. Really feel that Crobat is a solid deck and should probably receive more play.

But one more card for 30 damage? The point? At LEAST just run a Rainbow energy.

Can't believe I'd ever see this card being put to use, but how about Ho-Oh CL(the Shiny one....duh) for your Fire tech? For a {R} and a {C}{C} it does 50. You already run DCE so that works out nicely. That a whole WHOPPING more than Torkal's 30. Also it has better HP and a Resistance.

torkoal let's your flip for burn every turn while sitting on bench. it's not really meant to be used to attack.....if at all it would be last ditch effort. ho-oh is only good for attacking, and a card only good for attacking to do only 50 damage isn't as good as a card that could collect dust on your bench while burning the defending pokemon 50% of the time.

I thought the point of Torkoal was so it could take up bench space to weaken Kingdra Prime. He also says, "+It might take a while, but you'll probably kill them."

both torkoal and ho-oh would work well in this deck...you probably won't be ideally attackign with whichever one you choose anyway so I'd probably go with torkoal because it would save me money lol

The regular Ho-oh and the Shiny Ho-Oh have the same attacks...If we were gonna use Stage 1s, I have the perfect idea for a Fire tech. But Torkoal is a lot better.

How about Houndoom Prime? :D

-Slower than Torkoal
-More Consistent Burn
-Better Attack
-Locks your Opponent from retreating

Can definitely see a CroDoom w/ Vileplume (1-0-1) Tech.

I want to face this deck every round w/ my Magboar, now that would be fun, RDL and Magnezone would go crazy against it :p

How about not a Fire type? The whole point of Torkoal is the autowin against Kingdra Prime.

Yea because somebody running Kingdra won't have a counter to the decks biggest flaw at all.
Also Kingdra probably wont see much play with how broken reshiboar is

It helps enough to the point where it definitely is worth the space because it can be used against any deck, and makes the match favorable against most Kingdra builds. Houndoom would be clutter, please don't put it in.

And yea, there's no autowin with Torkoal.

agreed, reshiboar isn't broken...people are just getting flustered right now and caught up in the hype but once the dust settles and people start to focus, they'll see the weaknesses...I already do but won't give it away until after nats :)

anyway, back on topic: torkoal would work to serve it's purpose for this deck just fine. as long as you don't make it active, you're good...and if they aren't running a kingdra deck, then you don't really have to bother getting it out unless you feel as though you'll really need that chance to burn them.

GHOST BEAR WHY ARE YOU SO COOL?
Sorry I couldn't be part of the discussion guys, I got a little bit banned.
Yeah, about Torkoal, even if a Kingdra Reversal'd it into the active, they couldn't one shot it and I run four switch. Not to mention that I run two Torkoal and since reversal is a 50/50 chance of working, they could probably only get 2 reversals off with fairlydecent luck. So yeah, Kingdra really can't do much to Torkoal, even once Catcher gets printed.

Houndoom P doesn'tmake much sense because, as VY said, I was going for having a fire type out, not burning things. The burnis just an added thing, if Torkoal hadn't had been printed I would probably be using a reshiram or a magmar or something. I may still put in a Reshiram.
