I'm putting together a Donphan deck and was wondering if anyone has any ideas about a counter to Umbreon? I was looking for a basic fighting type with low energy and good attack but the closest thing I found was Hitmonlee UD. Any ideas?

Reclinath SV. Really good SP and umbreon counter.
You guys are crazy. UD Gliscor is the way to go. Not only can it OKHO umbreon with an exp belt, it is also nice to get hit and run pot shots on stuff without exposing anything to damage.
What he said. Why sacrifice space in your deck to counter Umbreon, especially cause Umbreon's not very common? A Umbreon can barely scratch you anyway, so just keep doing Earthquake until you have a angry Phanpy. Relicanth SV is also an option but would suck if your opponent has no Stadium/Tools in play.
I was thinking about Relicanth, but how is he any good vs SP decks?

uhmm he's good because sp decks use lots of poke tools like energy gain maybe expert belts and for a stadium some may have a snowpoint temple or something like that so thats alot of dmg for a basic with one energy. Anyways there will always be an energy gain in play against any sp decks u will play against since they ALL use garchomp and energy gains. And Grand Swell is also a sniping attack
Donphan is only good against luxchomp. Dialgachomp eats it alive because it negates the body, lost zones the energy, and poketurns your damage.
Idk about that, i do agree with all you've said about it, donphans got some outs for dialgatank.
I run a 2-2 manectric and ERL in my donphan with stark mountain.
destroy his bench and options so that if he does poketurn, he totally loses.
but hey, a good player can get around any deck really.

Yup the donphan im building is with 2-2 manetric with a bench shield so garchomp is useless, and I have ERL with stark mountain to hit dialga for 160 dmg and the rest of your bench so it's pretty badass if you can't revenge OHKO ERL, if you can't one hit KO then I can just retreat and be safe from there or just super scoop up.

true but I will never have ERL on my bench unless hes ready to attack, (stark mountain combo) And Manetric will probably have a bench shield unless its prized or I can't draw it. I think Dialga is not an autoloss, donphan ERL still has a shot at winning
Im running 3 rainbow 8 fighting too best for consistency, And I started attaching the rainbow on manetric as soon as I have a rainbow in my hand So I can transfer it on ERL and attach a fighting on ERL because it's more common to have a fighting energy in your hand. It works quite well if manetric has a bench shield

I think everyone is thinking too far into this "umbreon counter."
Umbreon DOES wreck donphan, but it's fairly easy to tech against.
Just a few off of the top of my head: cyclone energy, luxray x,
warp point, infernape e4 x, and pokemon circulator.
