I guess I pretty much have to make this lol. (Also, only a couple people will get the title but whatever.)
Weeks before I've been playing Sabledonk almost religiously. For some reason, I get an immense satisfaction from donking excessively. Then, the tails come in dressed like knights ready to joust on horses. And man do they come in hard. I'm just so fed up with them that I just say "screw this". I decide to go with good old faithful Gaga the deck that has taken to me to 13th Place States 2010, 6th Place States 2011 this year, and Luxray who helped me reach 2nd Place BR Fall 2009. So yeah, I think the deck has mostly been good to me, huh?
But yeah, I take almost the same exact deck as what I played at States (literally a couple cards difference, no lie) and went in expecting to win because I never doubt myself. Radar is judging his first Tournament, so props to you dude. I get there at 10 for registration start, fill out the decklist, deck check, shuffle like 100+ times and then it's time to play. Oh yeah, 4 Rounds, Top 2 Cut so you have to go undefeated or manage to be the highest 3-1. On to the report!
Round 1: Matt H vs. Michael R
LuxChomp vs. Gyarados
He starts with Q and Regice Benched. I win the flip and have Garchomp with Call+Collector+Cyrus in my hand. Good start in the hand wise. The three C's for victory! Collector for Crobat G, Uxie, and Azelf because I can't find my other Crobat G to donk but those things are so elusive I must have skipped over it. NUUUUU I proceed to Azelf and find no Crobat but two Luxray GL Lv.X. Bad news bears! I obviously take one because you know, can't win without it lol. Crobat Flash Bite Q and then Uxie for quite a bit to get a Poke Turn. I might have had another Turn in the hand or something but I take a quick knockout regardless and he's forced to bring up Regice. I then take one of my two DCE prized (NUUUU) so I can snipy snipy later. I call for Luxray and Lucario GL despite only seeing two cards from his deck (glad I made that call because I was maybe...hmm 75% sure he was playing Gyarados). He goes off on his turn like Gyarados does. Uxie Set Ups for quite a bit, gets Sableye out with Q brought back from the dead, Regice Regi-Moves for a tad bit of disruption early and discard, and then Mesprit (NUUU). He was still early on his setup however, so I believe he takes one more turn to do so before swinging with Gyarados. I opt to take my second Prize with a Dragon Rush on that little pink Mesprit, however I'm faced with a Rescue a turn or two later to see it right back there (NUUU). I believe I can't take a Prize on that turn because Flash Bites are essential. He hits a couple Rescue Energies allowing him to keep Gyarados in field as long as possible as well as laying down another one after. He gets quite a lot of SSU tails a little later, some of which could have costed him precious draw/Mesprit drops but Idk. I don't see a Belt until much later in the game forcing him to Regi Move for Prizes and allowing me to keep two Luxray GL Lv.Xs powered up on the field. I take a DCE from my second to last prize because I have a Garchomp C Lv.X with a Call Energy on my Bench. He takes one last Prize making the game 2-1 in my favor but it's far too late to do anything about it. He hits a few more SSU+Junk Arm at the end allowing him to draw almost his entire deck lolz. But yeah, I have the Dragon Rush snipe either way for the last Prize and gg.

I'm kind of guessing what his deck was. Luxray does what he does best and rushes against Alomomola, Pidove, Tranquill, and Oshawott. Only used Bite in the early game and started going off a good Cyrus game to wrap it up with almost a Prize a turn. Not much else to say gg.

We knew this would happen. DON'T DENNIE IT. Yeah, we hug when we find out the pairing because we already know who has the game. Finally, that Dialga G Lv.X tech DOES WORK SON. He gets a quick See Off as Mewperior always does and I'm lucky to start with Luxray GL, Garchomp C, Dialga G, and a Power Spray in my hand. He mulligans a couple times at the start too giving me Call Energy and some other good stuff I don't remember. I almost make a completely game losing play by bringing up Dialga and PLAYING Collector as opposed to Bebe's Search in my hand. ._. I must have been high off the victories or something. Luckily, I have a Poke Turn in my hand to correct this inexcusable mistake. I search for it the next turn and don't feel like putting him through excessive misery any longer (I will get my revenge). I shake his hand, he accepts the loss, and I accept the win against my better judgment.

LuxChomp vs. Reshiboar+Garchomp
What is this? HG/SS-on? lol Not yet it isn't. I get going pretty quickly and start to viciously hate Outrage. I opt to Garchomp snipe her Garchomp on the Bench early on as opposed to doing anything else in my hand. Luxray manages to die early on which sucks also. Expert Belt comes out of nowhere to KO it with Outrage damage which I was not expecting. Suddenly I'm facing a brutal Prize difference but I manage to come back by taking two against a Belted Reshiram to get a Collector and an Azelf from the Prizes (both Azelf and a Luxray GL Lv.X Prized, I obviously rush to get that second one straight out of there). I get out Uxie Lv.X to Trade Off for some much needed cards like DCE for a snipe. Somehow I get a Luxray GL Lv.X, a Garchomp C Lv.X, and a Luxray GL Lv.X in the discard pile and I'm looking at the field and wonder, how did this happen? I'm able to Luxray Bright Look snipe a Tepig so I never see an Emboar hit the field (Catcher is going to ruin this deck when it comes out.) She plays a smart Seeker picking up an Uxie off the Bench so I can't snipe it for the last Prize. I'm facing two Reshiram, one with a Belt Active and one Prize left. I get Luxray out of the discard pile with Aaron's and manage to Bright Look the Reshiram on the Bench and put 60 on it. She Retreats and just does an Outrage for 40 and I have game with a Retreat of my own and a Dragon Rush on the Reshiram on the Bench.

NOT YOU AGAIN lol. I'm literally in shock that I'm facing him but I should have expected it considering I was his only loss during the day. He ended up being the highest 3-1 so yeah lol.
He wants to just give the match to me and not even play but I don't roll that way. I have to decide whether to play all three games or the one game that I could do before we actually play. I opt to do the risky one game instead of the standard best two out of three (Tip: DO NOT EVER DO THAT LIKE I DID haha.) I find out that if I lose the one game, then it's all over. No do-overs. ._. Better not screw it up lol. If Azelf and a piece of Dialga is prized, it's almost 99% done as even if I take one Prize, it's only a 33% I'll get what I need and by that point in the game, it could be far too late against Mewperior. We shuffle up and do this. Brace yourself for an insane match.
I start Uxie (already sweating bullets) with Bebe's Search and SP Radar in hand. And he goes first. I'm visually distraught at this point wondering if he even has the donk but the most he can do is 50. He decides instead to See Off after top decking a Smeargle and using Collector for Mews and Uxie. I Bebe's for Dialga and I don't have any other way to get a Basic (I NEEDED to save that SP Radar for Dialga G Lv.X, you'll see why later). I do 40 from my Psychic Restore with a DCE attached (lol). He mentions that he plays Seeker and this could very well be the game with me forcing to pick up the Dialga. He doesn't have it and instead Uxie Sets Up for a few cards and proceed to See Off for the big baddy Rhyperior Lv.X. I SP Radar for Dialga G Lv.X and have really nothing else in my hand except Warp Energy, Power Spray, Poke Turn and Luxray GL Lv.X. Jank. So jank. Luckily, I shut the Body off and he almost immediately thinks this is game like usual. Boy was he wrong. He top decks a Seeker but at this point, it's too late. WAY too close for that.
Smeargle is one bad boy. He's the only attacker he can use at this point so he Tail Raps. I don't even remember how many times he Tail Raps and how many heads he gets. Eventually, he gets 110 damage on the Dialga G Lv.X (with the addition of a Crobat drop) and I luckily play Warp Energy to save him from near death. I know he plays Seeker so I brace myself when he gets another one to KO my Dialga. I eventually get a Luxray so I can use my Luxray GL Lv.X. YAY oh wait, his whole field has free Retreat. That's a waste. But at least it was a good 110 HP Basic staller for his Tail Raps. All the time, I'm draw passing because I am getting literally nothing. I Azelf and find nothing (of course) except Cyrus and TWO SP Radar. Which will come into effect later. I manage to get Bronzong out and I can move the Warp Energy and attach a Metal to Luxray to hit for 30. I Poke Turn Crobat G and kill the Smeargle finally. He Tail Raps all this time and manages to put 80 on my Luxray before I'm forced to retreat because he's SETTING UP ANOTHER SMEARGLE after a Pokemon Rescue to get it back. My field is looking like this: Bronzong with 80 damage on it, Luxray GL Lv.X with 80 damage on it and Dialga G Lv.X with 110 damage on it. All. From. Tail. Raps. No lie. My deck decided to start failing at the worst moment.
Luckily, from that one prize off Cyrus, I manage to somehow get a Garchomp C out but then find no more SP Radar. THEY'RE HIDING IN THE PRIZES LIKE LITTLE BUTT BUDDIES. I'm forced to take a Bebe's Search and make the play one turn later. _-_ He Seekers and thinks he has me with the Crobat G drop on my Dialga but I've been holding those Sprays for that very reason. He's met with one and goes sadface. Once I FINALLY get Garchomp C Lv.X out from the Bebe's Search, I'm basically in the clear. I manage to Healing Breath all that damage which was 270+. And then I get to do what the deck does best. Take Prizes haha. I Dragon Rush his Smeargle before I have to deal with that again. He Palmer's to put two of them back in his deck. *facepalm* My Luxray is ok now that I got the Electric Energy from the Cyrus however, and I manage to chain my kills together to rotate between Luxray and Garchomp and clear his field from those cute little 60 HP Basic Monsters. Game isn't too far from that point.
